NATA 2022: Application Form, Syllabus, Eligibility Criteria
The Council of Architecture (COA) is the authority that is responsible for conducting the National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA). The aim of this exam is to select the candidates for admission to 5 years Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch.) across India. The exam is conducted twice in a calendar year. There are a lot of private and government colleges/ institutes that will consider the NATA score for admission. NATA 2022 Eligibility Criteria
The eligibility criteria for admission to 1st year of 5 year B. Arch degree courses are as follows.
Age Limit
- There are no criteria for upper or lower age limit in order to apply for the NATA exam.
Qualifying Examination
- Candidates must have passed the 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognized board with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics subject group.
Qualifying Marks
- Aspirants should have secured a minimum of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) subject group. Candidates from SC, ST, OBC – NCL categories will get a relaxation of up to 5% marks in the qualifying examination.
Diploma Holders
- Candidates who possess a 10+3 diploma with Mathematics as a compulsory subject and a minimum of 50% marks can apply.
NATA 2022 Application Form
Authorities will make the application form for NATA 2022 available in online mode only. Those who want to apply need to register through the official website. All the details related to the process of application are given below.
- The first step of the application process is registration. In order to register, aspirants have to provide some of their basic details including Name, Gender, Email Address, Mobile Number, Unique Password, Security question, etc.
- Next, candidates have to sign-in using the login credentials generated at the time of registration.
- After logging in, aspirants are required to provide their complete educational, personal, and contact details in an accurate manner.
- The details entered in the application form must be accurate. Otherwise, the application form can get rejected.
- Along with the details, candidates have to upload the scanned images of their passport size photograph and signature.
- After submitting the application form, aspirants have to take a printout of the application form submitted and fee receipt.

Mode of payment: The application fee can be paid online using a debit card, credit card, or internet banking. Apart from this, authorities will also accept the application fee through a bank challan.
NATA 2022 Admit Card
- The admit card of the examination will release in online mode through the official website.
- Candidates will be able to download the admit card by entering their registration number and other details.
- The information about the date, time, and venue of the examination will be mentioned on the admit card.
- All the candidates have to carry a copy of the admit card at the time of the examination.
- No candidate will be allowed to take the examination without an admit card.
- It is recommended to keep a copy of the admit card safe even after the examination as it might be required at the time of the examination.

NATA 2022 Syllabus

Physics: Electrostatics- Electric charges and Fields, Electrostatic Potential and Capacitance, Current Electricity, Magnetic Effects of Current and Magnetism; Moving Charges and magnetism, Magnetism and Matter, Electromagnetic Induction and Alternating currents – Electromagnetic Induction, Alternating Current Optics – Ray optics and optical instruments, Wave Optics Dual nature of radiation and Matter, Atoms and Nuclei- Atoms, Nuclei Electronic devices- Semiconductor Electronics, Materials, Devices and Simple circuits.
Chemistry: Some Basic Concepts of Chemistry; Structure of Atom; Classification of Elements and Periodicity in Properties, Chemical Thermodynamics; Equilibrium; Redox Reactions; Hydrogen; s- Block Elements p -Block Elements, Chemical Bonding and Molecular; States of Matter: Gases and Liquids, Organic Chemistry: Some basic Principles and Techniques; Hydrocarbons; Environmental Chemistry

General Aptitude: Objects, texture related to architecture and built environment. Interpretation of pictorial compositions, Visualizing three-dimensional objects from two-dimensional drawing, Visualizing different sides of 3D objects, Analytical reasoning, mental ability (visual, numerical and verbal), General awareness of national/ international architects and famous architectural creations, Mathematical reasoning, Sets and Relations.
NATA 2022 Answer key
- Soon after conducting the exam, answer keys of the examination will be published on the official website.
- Candidates will be able to get an idea about the marks they are going to score through the answer keys.
- Aspirants will also be able to challenge the answer keys in case they are not satisfied with the same.
- The final answer keys will be released after considering the challenges submitted by the students.
- The result card will be prepared based on the final answer keys only.
NATA 2022 Result
- Aspirants will be able to check the result through the official website of the authority.
- In order to check the result, aspirants have to provide their candidate ID and Password.
- Information about the marks secured by the candidates in the entrance exam will be mentioned on the result card.
- The minimum qualifying marks that a candidate needs to score are as follows.
- At least 32 marks out of 125 marks must be secured in Part A. (25% approx.)
- At least 18 marks out of 75 marks should be secured in Part B. (25% approx.)
- Overall qualifying marks (out of 200) will be decided on the basis of post-exam statistics and at the discretion of the Council.
Counselling
- Those candidates who will score more than qualifying marks in the NATA examination 2022 will be allowed to participate in counselling process.
- In the counselling process, aspirants will be asked to provide the choice of college in which they want to study.
- Authorities will also verify the documents of candidates at the time of the counselling.
- The seats will be allotted on the basis of marks secured by the candidates in the NATA exam and choice filled during the counselling.
