Delhi University Eligibility Criteria 2023

Here are the course-wise eligibility criteria for Delhi University admission.

B.Tech (IT & Mathematical Innovation)

  • Candidates must have passed class 12th or equivalent exams with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and English (PCME) subjects with at least 60% marks.

M.Tech

  • Aspirants should possess B.Tech/ B.E. or its equivalent degree from any recognized institution with at least 60% marks (54% for OBC and 40% for SC/ ST).

LLM

  • Candidates must have completed an LLB degree of either 3 or 5 years duration with a recognized institute with a minimum of 50% marks (45% for OBC and 40% for SC/ ST).

M.Com

  • Applicants should have passed B.A, BBA, B.Com, or its equivalent examination from any recognized institution with at least 50% marks (45% for OBC and 40% for SC/ ST)

Delhi University Application Form 2023

Here are the details about Delhi University Application Process 2023.

  • The Delhi University Admission (CUET) UG application form has been released online at CUET UG official website.
  • To begin the application form, you will have to register on the official website of NTA (National Testing Agency) i.e cuet.nta.nic.in.
  • During registration, you need to enter your phone number along with an email ID.
  • After registration, you will get your system-generated Application Number and Password.
  • Then, you can log in and access the main application form.
  • In the main application form, you should fill up your personal details. Additionally, you need to choose the paper for which you are applying, and the examination cities.
  • You must also provide the details of your educational qualification.
  • After that, you must upload the following documents.
    • Recent photographs either in colour or black & white with 80% face (without mask) visible including ears against a white background.
    • Scanned Signature.
  • In the next step, you must pay the application fee as per your category.
  • Finally, take a printout of the application form and keep it safe for future reference.

Admit Card

  • Candidates will receive their e-Admit Card via the NTA website. They must show up for the exam at the designated Center on the date and time specified on their e-Admit Card.
  • No candidate will be allowed to appear at the examination Centre, on the date and shift/time other than that allotted to him/her in his/her Admit Card.
  • In case candidates are unable to download their Admit Card from the website, they should approach the NTA Help Line Number: 011-40759000 between 10.00 am to 5.00 pm.
  • Candidates must bring the following documents on the day of examination at the test centre.
    • Print copy of Admit Card along with Self Declaration
    • One passport-size photograph
    • Any one of the authorized photo IDs – University/college Identity Card/ PAN card/ Driving License/ Voter ID/ Passport/ Aadhaar Card (With photograph)/E-Aadhaar with photograph/ Ration Card with photograph/ University Admit Card with photograph/ Bank Passbook with Photograph.

Entrance Exam Pattern

The pattern of Delhi University entrance examination is as follows.

For UG (CUET UG Pattern)

  • Examination Mode – Online (Computer-Based Test)
  • Type of questions – Objective type MCQ
  • Number of questions – 100
  • Medium – Questions will be in 13 languages
  • Duration of examination – 3 hours and 15 minutes (for Slot I) and 3 hours and 45 minutes (for Slot II)
  • Marking Pattern – Each question will carry 5 marks and 1 mark will be deducted in case of an incorrect answer.

For PG (CUET PG Pattern)

  • Examination Mode – Online (Computer-Based Test)
  • Type of questions – Objective type MCQ
  • Number of questions – 100
  • Medium – English only
  • Duration of examination – 2 hours only
  • Marking Pattern – Each question will carry 4 marks and 1 mark will be deducted in case of an incorrect answer.

Preparation Tips 

There are many ways to prepare for an exam, and you should find what works for you. Here are some useful tips that can help you.

  1. Attempt as many practice tests as possible.
  2. Try to remember answers in your own words.
  3. Try to take short notes on all important topics. These notes are helpful while revising the syllabus.
  4. If you are not a strong reader, you could try to read the book in the morning. In case you are someone who does well with the night, you could try to study before you go to bed.

Answer Key

  • The Provisional Answer Key will be available on the NTA website.
  • It is likely that the preliminary Answer Keys will only be displayed for two to three days.
  • Candidates will also be able to challenge the answer key by paying Rs. 200 per query.
  • After reviewing each challenge, the subject matter experts will declare the final answer key.
  • The candidates’ completed Question Papers and recorded responses will also be available on the NTA website.

Cut Off and Result

  • The declared final answer key will be used for the preparation of the result. After the CUET result/ NTA Score has been announced, no complaints regarding answer keys will be accepted.
  • The Delhi University cutoff marks will be made available online. It will be announced separately for the various Science, Arts, and Commerce streams offered. The cut-off will be determined by a number of factors, including:
    • Marks secured in the entrance exam or 12th class.
    • Number of available seats
    • Number of candidates appear for the exam.

Delhi University Counselling and Admission

  • For admission to DU colleges, the admissions office will conduct three rounds of counseling.
  • The candidates’ scores in the entrance exam will be used to create the merit list.
  • The counseling process will only be open to candidates who have been shortlisted by merit.
  • Candidates will need to self-register online in order to participate in the counseling process.
  • The final admission will be offered only after the verification of documents.
