The Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU) annually invites the applicants for admission in various UG, PG, Doctorate and diploma courses provided by it. To be eligible for admission, candidates must apply for TNAU admission 2022 by filling the concerned application form in the online mode only. TNAU Admission 2022 – How to Apply/Application Form
Candidates need to fill the online application for admission in different UG, PG and diploma programs offered by the colleges under the university. The application form for TNAU admission 2022 will only be made available to the candidates through the official website. Candidates first need to register themselves for the admission before proceeding for the form. They must to fill the form very carefully as once they submit the form, no correction facility will be provided to them for editing the particulars mentioned in the application form.
Candidates must pay the required application fee without which the authority will reject their applications. They should also keep the scanned copy of photograph and signature handy as they will be asked to upload it in the form. Candidates need not send the hard copy of the application form to the authority except for those opting for diploma course. Those wishing to enroll in diploma program must send the hard copy of the application form to the authority on or before the due date mentioned in the post.
Note: Candidates seeking admission in masters program can apply for only two subjects whereas, for Ph.D program, candidates can apply for only one subject.
Application Fee
For UG admission: The application fee to be paid is Rs. 600/- for General category candidates and Rs. 300/- for those belonging to SC/ST/SCA categories. The payment can be made via online mode.
For PG & Doctorate admission: Candidates must pay Rs. 1000/- (Rs. 500/- for SC/ST candidates) per subject as the application fee. The fee should be paid online by E-Payment.
For Diploma admission: Candidates need to pay Rs. 200/- as the application fee. Those from the SC/ST/SCA categories should pay Rs. 100/-. This fee can be paid through demand draft i.e. DD to be made in favour of-

Eligibility Criteria for TNAU Admission 2022
For UG admission: Candidates must have passed class 12th from a recognized board with Science subjects and have secured minimum 55% aggregate marks in the qualifying exam. Those from the reserved category will be given relaxation in percentage obtained in class 12th. The age of the candidates must not exceed 21 years as on 1st July 2022. Only those native to Tamil Nadu will be considered for admission in different undergraduate programs.
For Diploma admission: Candidates should have passed class 12th (HSC) or its equivalent from a recognized board and have studied science subjects (PCB or Physics, Chemistry, Zoology and Botany). Those who have passed class 12th with vocational with biology and agricultural practices can also apply. The candidate mustn’t have completed 21 years of age as on 1st July 2022. No age limit specified for reserved category candidates.
For PG and Doctorate admission: For admission in PG and Doctorate course, only those candidates can apply who have completed their graduation from SAU’s/Institutes with ICAR accreditation only.

The candidates wishing to pursue PG and Doctorate course from the Tamil Nadu agricultural university (TNAU) need to take the written test in order to be eligible for the admission. Here’s the exam pattern for the entrance test-

Candidates need to bring the admit card for the written test. They also need to carry a copy of the application form and valid ID proof in the examination hall. Without these documents, candidates won’t be permitted to appear for the test. The admit card can be downloaded from the official website of TNAU.
Result and Counselling
The result of the TNAU admission 2022 can be seen on the official website only. A merit list will be made as per the performance of the candidates in the qualifying exam. For candidates seeking admission in UG program, their selection will be based on the marks secured by them in class 12th.
