The Tolani Maritime Institute (TMI) conducts TMI Scholastic Aptitude Test (TMISAT) to shortlist candidates for admission to its B.Tech Marine Engineering and B.Sc Nautical Science courses. Candidates who meet the basic eligibility criteria for TMI admission 2022 can fill their application form before the last date that is 30th April 2022. TMISAT 2022 Eligibility Criteria

The course-wise eligibility criteria for appearing in TMISAT 2022 exam are given below:

For B.Tech Marine Engineering and B.Sc Nautical Science:

• Gender: Candidates of both genders male and female can apply for TMISAT 2022.
• Age limit: The age of the candidates should not be less than 17 years.
• Date of birth: For male candidates, the date of birth should fall on or after 1st September 2001 and for female candidates the date of birth should fall on or after 1st September 1999.
• Marital status: Unmarried candidates are only eligible for admission.
• Academic criteria: The applicants who have passed their class 12th exam with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate are eligible. English as a subject in in class 10 or class 12 with not less than 50% marks is required.
• Physical fitness: The candidates must be physically and mentally fit to be eligible for admission. Candidates for the B.Sc Nautical Technology programme must have 6/6 vision in both eyes.

For B.Tech Marine Engineering (Lateral Entry):

• Age limit: The age of the candidates should be less than 24 years.
• Marital status: Unmarried candidates are only eligible for admission.
• Educational qualification: Candidates should hold a diploma in mechanical or marine engineering with at least 60% marks in aggregate. The diploma must be completed within the stipulated period of 3 years. English as a subject in in class 10 or class 12 with not less than 50% marks is also required.

TMISAT 2022 Application Form

Candidates can apply for the TMISAT 2022 through online mode. The application form can be obtained by visiting the official website of Tolani Maritime Institute www.tmi.tolani.edu.

• Basic personal, academic, contact and other details of the candidates should be asked in the application form.
• Photograph, class 10th and 12th mark sheet, class 12 admit card, passport, transfer/leaving certificate, and passport of the candidates in scanned format need to be uploaded into the application form.
• Duly filled application form, correct and complete in all respect, can be submitted along with the prescribed application fee and other documents.
• The candidates are suggested to keep a printout of the application form with them in case of future reference.

Application fee:

• The candidates need to pay an amount of INR 1200 as TMISAT 2022 application fee.
• Both online mode (debit card/ credit card/ net banking) and offline mode (demand draft) are available for the payment of the application fee.

TMISAT 2022 Exam Pattern

TMISAT 2022 exam pattern overview has been provided below:

Online test

• Mode of exam: Online mode
• Duration of exam: 90 minutes
• Number of questions: 80
• Type of questions: Objective type
• Negative marking: There will be negative marking in one section each in Mathematics and Physics.

Behavioral assessment

• After the entrance exam, the candidates have to appear for a behavioral assessment of 30 minutes.

 TMISAT 2022 Admit Card

• The institute will release TMISAT 2022 admit card a few days before the entrance exam.
• Candidates can download their admit card by visiting the official website of Tolani Maritime Institute.
• A copy of the admit card should be carried by the candidates along with a valid identity proof while reporting to the exam center.
• Important details like candidate’s name, gender, roll number, exam schedule, venue, etc will be mentioned on the admit card.
• It is advised that the candidates keep the admit card safe till the whole admission process is over.

TMISAT 2022 Result

• Candidates will be able to check  TMISAT 2022 result from the official website of the institute.
• It is expected that the online result will be declared in the month of June 2022
• The authority will prepare a merit list of the qualified candidates on the basis of their marks in the online exam and their performance in the behavioral assessment.
• Marks obtained in class 12th and in IMUCET will also be taken into consideration while preparing the merit list.
• Further process of counseling will be carried out as per the names of the candidates in the merit list and schedule decided by the institute.

TMISAT 2022 Counseling

• Details regarding the counseling process will be communicated to the candidates via the official website of TMI.
• Candidates who are shortlisted for the counseling must report for the same with all the documents in original and photocopy for verification.
• The candidates whose documents and eligibility are verified successfully will be allotted seats as per their ranking.
• Those who are allotted a seat will then have to appear for medical and physical fitness test.
• Only after clearing these two rounds, the candidates will be selected for final admission.
• Selected candidates should complete the formalities of admission and secure their seats.

TMISAT 2022 FAQs

Question 1: When will the institute release the application form for the B.Tech Marine Engineering and B.Sc Nautical Science courses?

Answer: The application form for the B.Tech Marine Engineering and B.Sc Nautical Science degree courses is expected to release in the month of January 2022.

Question 2: I haven’t cleared my class 12th yet. Can I apply for the entrance exam?

Answer: Candidates who will appear in their class 12th exam in the year 2022 can appear for TMISAT. However, only the candidates who clear the exam with the required percentage before the commencement of admission process will be offered enrolment.

Question 3: Can I get a refund on fee submitted if I do not wish to take admission into TMI?

Answer: Refund of the tuition and other fee submitted at the time of admission will be granted as per the refund policy of the institute. The amount refunded depends on the date of withdrawal communicated in writing by the student and parent/ guardian.

Question 4: What if a candidate fails to report for the admission in the given time period?

Answer: Candidates who fail to report for the admission in the given time limit will not be considered for enrolment. No request in this regard will be entertained from the candidates.

Question 5: Can I get my admit card for TMISAT 2022 through offline mode?

Answer: No admit card will be sent to the candidates through offline mode such as post, courier, etc and will only be available through online mode on the official website of TMI.
