TMISAT Eligibility Criteria 2022: Marital Status, Physical Standards

The candidates applying for the TMISAT must ensure certain basic eligibility requirement beforehand. The TMISAT Eligibility Criteria 2022 will specify the age, academic and other criteria that must be fulfilled by the candidates if they wish to be considered for admissions. The candidates who have passed their class 12th exam and have completed the age of 17 years can apply for the exam. It is recommended that the candidates check the TMISAT Eligibility Criteria 2022 before they submit their application form for the exam because the admission fee will not be refunded under any circumstances.

TMISAT Eligibility Criteria 2022

The candidates must fulfill the TMISAT Eligibility Criteria 2022 mentioned below in terms of age, marital status, qualification and physical standards.

Age criteria:

The minimum age of the candidates should not be less than 17 years. The maximum age limit is 21 years, i.e. the candidates should have been born on or after 1st September 2002. The female candidates are given a relaxation of 2 years in the upper age limit, i.e. the maximum age of the candidates should not be more than 23 years.

Marital status:

Only unmarried applicants are eligible to apply.

Educational qualification:

The candidates should have completed their Senior Secondary (class 12th) or equivalent exam from a recognized board. The applicants must have scored a minimum of 60% marks in the aggregate of Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. At least 50% marks in the subject of English at class 10th or class 12th level is also required.

Physical standards:

  • Minimum height should be 157 centimeters with co-related weight and proportionate chest with a minimum 5 centimeter expansion.
  • There should be no disease or impairment of functions of bones or joints.
  • There should be no impaired hearing, no loss or decay of teeth to such an extent as to interfere with efficient mastication or any evidence of any disease of the throat, palate, tonsils or gums or any disease or injury.
  • There should be no speech impediment or impairment like excessive stammering or a pronounced lisp.
  • Must have a normally functioning glandular system without signs of tubercular enlargement.
  • There should be no instance of cardiac or vascular disease.
  • There should be no evidence of chronic or upper respiratory disease, tuberculosis or history of this disease.
  • There should be no evidence of any disease of the digestive system and the liver and spleen should not be palpable.
  • There should be no skin disease except that of a temporary or trivial nature.
  • The kidneys should not be palpable, enlarged or diseased. Candidates with albuminuria, glycosuria or blood (RBC) in urine will not be accepted.
  • There should be no history or evidence of mental disease of the candidate or in his family.
  • Candidates must not have any degree of squint or any morbid condition of eyes or of the eyelids that is liable to aggravate or recur.
  • Candidates for the B.Sc. Nautical Science programme must have unaided 6/6 vision in both eyes. Color blindness is not permitted
  • In addition, at the time of the medical examination or subsequently at any time during the program, candidates may be asked to undertake Drugs and/or HIV tests.

Other requirements:

Qualifying in IMUCET is also mandatory for admission.

Once the TMISAT Eligibility Criteria 2022 have been satisfied, the eligible candidates can fill their application form. The application form will be made available on the official website of the Institute. The candidates will have to provide their personal and educational details into the application form and upload their photograph and signature in scanned format. The duly-filled application form can then be submitted along with the application fee as required.
