NID 2022: Admit Card (out), Exam Pattern

NID 2022 admit card has been released now. Candidates who have successfully submitted their application and paid the application fee are only eligible to download their admit card. Please read the exam-related instructions mentioned on your admit card carefully.  The National Institute of Design (NID) offers admission to the candidates to pursue various courses in design such as Bachelor of Design (B.Des.), Graduate Diploma Programme in Design (GDPD), Master of Design (M.Des.) etc. The institute, which has campuses at Gandhinagar, Ahmedabad, and Bengaluru, conducts the Design Aptitude Test (DAT) as an eligibility cum admission test in two stages viz., preliminary and mains. NID 2022 Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria for the undergraduate and postgraduate designing courses is different for as stated in the following points:

Eligibility Criteria for undergraduate courses:

• Candidates must have passed the senior secondary exam (12^th) or any other equivalent examination.
• Candidates appearing in 12^th, will be eligible to apply for admission and appear in the exam.
• Candidates must have attained minimum 20 years of age.
• Candidates will be given age relaxation in the upper age.
  

Eligibility Criteria for postgraduate courses:

• The maximum age limit for the applicants should not exceed 30 years.
• Candidates must have completed 4 years bachelor’s degree from recognized institute in any discipline under the ‘10+2+4’ pattern.
• Candidates appearing in final year of bachelor’s degree will also be eligible to apply for admission.
  

NID Application Form 2022

• NID Admission application form will be available on the official website.
• Candidates need to fill and submit the NID Application Form through online mode.
• Candidates will be required to upload the scanned images of their photo& signature in the required format.
• The applicants need to pay the application fee as well before submitting the application form.
  

Details of the Application Fee

• The application fee can be paid through online mode viz., credit card, debit card or net banking.
• The application fee will not be refundable.
• The application fee will be Rs. 2000 for the candidates of the general category.
• The application fee will be Rs. 1000 for the candidates of the reserved category.

NID 2022 Admit Card

• NID 2022 Admit Card has been released now.
• Candidates need to download and take the printout of the admit card.
• The admit card will have the information about the exam’s venue, date and reporting time at the examination Centre.
• Candidates will be required to take the admit card with them at the examination venue.

• The Design Aptitude Test (DAT) will be of objective and subjective nature having multiple choices of answers.
• The question papers will contain 100 questions.
• The questions in the question paper will be in the English language only.
• Candidates will have to take part in the studio test.
• Thereafter, candidates will be invited to take part in the personal interview.

NID Result 2022

• The result of the NID entrance test will be announced on the official website.
• The NID result for PRELIMS Exam i.e. DAT 2022 (prelims) for M.Des courses may announce in Feb while the result of DAT 2022 (prelims) for B.Des/GDPD may publish in March 2022. 
• Candidates can check the result of the examination by providing their roll number, registration number, and password.
  

NID Admission Procedure 2022

• Candidates will be offered the admission on the basis of the score attained by the candidates in the entrance tests.
• On the basis of the marks, the institute will release the merit list of all the selected/eligible candidates, who have secured a rank in the merit list.
• Candidates need to pay the admission fee to pursue the desired courses after the announcement of the result.
