On December 20, 2016, The Kerala Government decided not to conduct any particular entrance test for medical and other professional programmes. All the admissions will be done thru NEET 2017. However, there will be a separate entrance test for engineering programme.
Candidates will be provided admission to their preferred programme based on their merit in National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET), organized by CBSE.
The decision has been made at the Cabinet meeting today under the supervision of Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan. List of professional courses which will be covered by NEET in the upcoming session includes medical, veterinary science, agricultural, forestry, fisheries.
