KCET Application Form 2022: Steps to Fill KCET Application Form

The Karnataka Examination Authority will release the KCET (Karnataka Common Entrance Test) Application Form in online mode. The applicants fulfilling the required eligibility criteria can fill up the application form. The process of form filling has been started from 18th April 2022. Steps to fill KCET Application Form

Step 1: The application form for KCET will be available online on the KEA official website kea.kar.nic.in. The applicants will have to provide their personal details into the form. The details to be filled in the form include:

  • Name
  • Father’s & Mother’s name
  • Gender
  • Date of birth
  • Contact number
  • Email ID
  • User ID
  • Password
  • Secret question and its Answer
  • Aadhaar number
  • Security code

After entering the complete details, the candidates will receive an application ID and password on their registered mobile phone number and email address. The candidate will then have to provide their communication details which include Address, State, District, Pin code, etc. This will complete one part of the form.

Step 2: The next part will include filling reservation and qualifying exam details. The candidates will have to enter their Mother Tongue, Religion, Nationality, Family Income, Reservation Category, etc. The information of qualifying exam such as board’s name, marks scored, years of study within the state, etc will also be asked.

Step 3: The next step will be uploading of scanned documents. This includes uploading of recent passport size color photograph, signature and left-hand thumb impression in the prescribed format. However, before the candidates can upload their images, they have to sign a declaration form and no changes in the form can be made after signing the declaration (except when the correction window opens).

Step 4: After filling the application form, the candidate will have to submit the application fee. For this, the candidate will have to print the copy of Challan available on the website only. The details of the candidate such as name, CET number, and bank account number will be already filled in the Challan. The structure of the fee to be submitted is given as follows:

Category Application Fee
General and OBC candidates of Karnataka Rs. 650/-
SC / ST Category candidates of Karnataka Rs. 500/-
Candidates residing outside Karnataka Rs. 750/-
Candidates residing outside India Rs. 5000/-

The requisite fee will be paid in any branch of the specified banks. There will a total of 3 copies of the Challan out of which 1 will be kept by the bank and the rest 2 will be returned back to the candidates (candidates’ copy and KEA copy). The applicants residing outside the country will have to make the fee payment via demand draft drawn in favor of Executive Director, Karnataka Examinations Authority, payable at Bangalore and sent to the KEA address.

Step 5: After completing all the above-mentioned steps, the candidates will have to take a printout of the application form on an A4 size paper. The signature of the principal and seal of the college from where the candidates have passed their 12th class examination or have done 2nd PUC will also be required on the printout taken. This printout of the application form must be kept safe for the admission process.

It is very necessary to submit the application form on or before the last date, otherwise, no admit card will be generated for the candidates. So, follow the above-mentioned steps very carefully and submit your application right on time.
