The Himachal Pradesh Polytechnic Admission Test (HP PAT) is a state-level entrance exam conducted for selection of candidates for admission to 3-year diploma courses. Enrolment will be granted to the candidates into different government and private polytechnic colleges of the Himachal Pradesh state only. The online application form has been released on 28th July 2021. This article provides the candidates complete information about the HP PAT 2021.

HP PAT 2021 Eligibility Criteria

The following eligibility criteria need to be fulfilled by the candidates appearing for the HP PAT exam 2021:

• A pass in class 10th exam with a minimum of 35% marks is required to be eligible for the entrance exam.
• Candidates with 50% or more marks in the class 10th exam can apply for direct admissions.

HP PAT Application Form 2021

Candidates can obtain the HP PAT 2021 application form online. The application form has been released on the official website of the Himachal Pradesh Takniki Siksha Board www.hptechboard.com on 28th July 2021.

• The candidates first need to register themselves online by providing details like name, mobile number, email address, gender, date of birth, etc.
• On submitting the registration form, an email and SMS containing login credentials will be sent on the registered email id and mobile number.
• Using these login credentials, the candidates can login to their account and start filling the application form.
• In the application form, the candidates need to provide their rest personal and academic details.
• Scanned copies of photograph and signature of the candidates should also be uploaded into the form.
• After uploading of the documents, the candidates will be taken towards payment of the application form.
• Once the payment is successful then permanent registration number will be generated.
• Candidates can then login on the portal to take print of application form/ acknowledgement.

Application fee:

• Candidates are required to pay an application fee of Rs. 650/- (for general category) and Rs. 400/- (SC/ ST/ OBC categories).
• The fee can be paid online through credit card, debit card or net banking or offline through SBI challan by paying the fee at SBI counter.
• The detail of challan should be entered into the application form by the candidate for confirmation of fee.

• Duration of exam: 3 hours
• Mode of exam: Offline (OMR based)
• Number of questions: 150
• Type of question: Objective type
• Question paper language: Both English and Hindi
• Total marks: 600
• Marking scheme: For correct answer, 4 marks will be awarded and 1 mark will be deducted for every wrong answer.

The detailed syllabus for the polytechnic admission test is provided below:

• English: Active & Passive Voice, Prepositions, Reported Speech, Subject-Verb Agreement, Articles, Tenses, Non-Finites, Countable & Uncountable Nouns, etc
• Chemistry: Structure of Atom, Chemical Reactions & Equations, Acids, Bases & Salts, Metals & Non-Metals, Carbon & Its Compounds, etc
• Physics: Light, Electricity, Magnetic Effect of Electric Current, Sources of Energy & Environment, etc
• Mathematics: Real Numbers, Polynomials, Quadratic Equations, Arithmetic Progression, Coordinate Geometry, Trigonometry, Probability, Statistics, etc

HP PAT Admit Card 2021

• The board will publish the admit card for HP PAT 2021 on the official website www.hptechboard.com.
• The admit card will contain candidate’s name, roll number, photograph, signature, address, test centre, test schedule and set of instructions.0
• Candidate can also get the information regarding roll no., test centre etc. on official website or through email [email protected].
• It is mandatory for the candidates to carry a hard copy of the admit card with them at the time of exam or else they won’t be allowed to appear for the exam.
• Applicants must not tamper with the admit card or alter any entry made therein as it can make it invalid.

HP PAT 2021 Result

• Result of the entrance exam will be declared online in the month of June 2021 (tentatively).
• Candidates can check the result of the exam using their roll number from the board’s website.
• Result can also be downloaded by the candidates form the website of the board.
• Merit list of the qualified candidates will be prepared on the basis of their marks in the entrance test.

HP PAT Counseling 2021

• Counseling of the qualified candidates will be conducted according to their names in the merit list.
• Those shortlisted for counseling will have to report at the specified venue and at the specified schedule along with all their original documents.
• Documents of the candidates will be verified and they will be asked to provide their choice for course and institute.
• Candidates will be allotted seats into the institutes as per their choice and merit in the entrance exam.
