BITSAT Eligibility Criteria 2023: Check Whether Your Are Eligible or Not?

If you are willing to apply for BITSAT then you must confirm your eligibility before you apply for the exam.  BITSAT examination is one of the renowned engineering entrance examinations which get conducted every year for offering admissions to undergraduate engineering course at BITS campuses in Pilani, Goa, and Hyderabad. Here are some eligibility criteria which aspirant must have satisfied in order to apply for BITSAT application form.

BITSAT Eligibility Criteria 2023

For admission to all the said programmes except B.Pharm.: Candidates should be class 12^th pass from a recognized State or Central board or its equivalent exam with Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry. They should have English proficiency.

Eligibility for B.Pharm: Candidates need to pass the class 12^th exam from a recognized State or Central board or its equivalent exam with Chemistry, Physics, and Biology. Candidates with PCM background are also eligible to apply. English proficiency is required.

Percentage Criteria

• For the candidates who have taken Mathematics in BITSAT: 75% marks in aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics with minimum 60% marks in the individual subject.
• For the candidates who have taken Biology in BITSAT: 75% marks in aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology with minimum 60% marks in the individual subject.

Appearing Candidates: Candidates, who are going to appear in class 12th exam in 2022 or those have passed the qualifying exam in 2021, can apply for BITSAT.

Other Criteria

• Those have passed the class 12th exam in 2021 or earlier are not eligible to apply for BITSAT exam.
• Candidates, who have attempted the class 12th or its equivalent exam more than once, their latest performance would be considered.
• Students who are already studying in BITS at any of its campuses are also not allowed to appear in BITSAT.
• The final selection of the candidates will be made truly on the basis of merit. The merit of the candidates for admission will be made through the scores obtained by them in the BITSAT.

Direct Admission Rules for the Board Toppers

All the students who are the first ranker in their respective central and state board, they will be given direct admission to the course of their choice. However, they have to fulfill the eligibility as specified above.
