Assam University Admission 2022: Assam University is a central University established in the year 1994. The university has two campuses, one at Silchar and other at Diphu. There are large numbers of undergraduate and postgraduate courses that are offered at Assam University.

The candidates will be selected for admission on the basis of marks in the qualifying exam, admission test and personal interview. In this article, we are providing complete information about Assam University 2022 admission.

Assam University Eligibility Criteria 2022

For Undergraduate/ 5 year Integrated courses

• The candidate must have passed 10+2 or equivalent exam in a relevant stream from a recognized board.
• Candidates appearing in the 10+2 or equivalent exam can also apply.
• Apart from the criteria mentioned above, the applicant will be required to fulfill the separate eligibility criteria of different departments as well.

For Postgraduate courses

• The applicant must have done graduation in relevant subject from a recognized university.
• Candidates waiting for the final year result are also eligible.
• The preference in admission will be given to those applicants having Honours/Major in a relevant subject. However, up to ten percent may be available for students from other subjects.

Note: The minimum marks criteria in qualifying exam are different for all the courses. There will be a relaxation of 5% marks in qualifying exam for candidates from reserved categories as per GOI rules.

Assam University Application Form 2022

The application form for Assam University admission 2022 will be made available on the official website. An offline or printed application form will not be accepted by the university. Interested and eligible candidates have to submit the application form before the last date.

The scanned copies of recent colored passport size photograph and signature need to be uploaded in the application form. After submitting the application form, the applicants will be able to check the status of their application by entering application number and Date of Birth at the admission portal.

Assam University Exam Pattern 2022

For granting admission to various courses, the Assam University will conduct a written exam and personal Interview. The personal interview can be conducted before or after the written exam depending on the departments. The general pattern for a written exam and personal interview is given in the table below:

Note: The candidate will be required to carry all of their documents in original and one photocopy of each at the time of interview.

Selection Procedure

The candidates will be selected for Assam University Admission 2022 on the basis of joint merit to be created after the admission test and personal interview. The weightage of marks in personal interview, admission test and qualifying exam will be in a ratio of 25:50:25.

In case the candidate has passed the graduation exam from the Assam University then 30% of the aggregate marks scored by him will be added to his qualifying exam marks.

10% of the aggregate qualifying exam marks will be added in case the candidates have honors/major in the relevant subject

Assam University Admit Card 2022

The Admit Card of Assam University will be released online on the official admission portal of Assam University. Candidates have to enter their application form number and date of birth in order to download the admit card. No candidate will be allowed to appear in the exam without a valid admit card and photo identity proof.

Result

After the commencement of Assam University Entrance exam, the university will release the list of selected candidates for admission on the official website. There might be a declaration of second or even third list depending upon the availability of seats.

Assam University 2022 Reservation Criteria

The reservation criteria for admission will be followed by all the departments under the university.

Apart from the reservation given above, the 50 % of the total seats in B.Tech course are reserved for candidates from northeastern states (Assam, Meghalaya, Manipur, Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram, Sikkim, Nagaland, and Tripura).
