Eligibility Criteria

In order to get admission under MPhil PhD programme at Assam University candidates are advised to first check their eligibility. They should fill the form after satisfying the prescribed eligibility criteria.  The important eligibility conditions are as follows.

• Candidates having Master Degree from a recognized University with a minimum of 55% marks or above or equivalent grade are only eligible to apply for admission to Integrated Pre-PhD Course Work for registration for M.Phil /PhD course of the Assam University
• There will be a relaxation of marks for applicants belonging to SC/ST/PWD categories as per Government of India Rules
• Candidates, who hold an M.Phil Degree from any recognized University and scored minimum 55% of marks in each paper separately may also eligible to apply for the exam.

Reservation Criteria

There will be reservation of seats for admission in respect of Schedule Caste/Schedule Tribe/OBC/PwD applicants as per Government of India.

Assam University MPhil PhD Application Form: How to apply?

Interested and eligible candidates can download the application form from the official website of University i.e. www.aus.ac.in. They should submit the duly filled in application form completed in all respects along with an application fee of Rs.700/ (Rs.500/ in case of SC/ST/PWD category).

The Payment can be made through Demand Draft drawn in favour of Finance Officer, Assam University, Silchar payable at Silchar.

Applicants may also obtain the information booklet along with Application Form from the Assam University cash counter by paying the said fee.

Candidate must send the completely filled application along with mandatory documents to the concerned Head of the Department of Assam University, Dorgakona, Silchar before the due date.
