AISSEE 2021: Application Form (Available), Age, Minimum Qualification, Exam Date

This year All India Sainik School Entrance Exam (AISSEE) is being conducted by the National Testing Agency to shortlist the eligible candidates for admission to Sainik schools all over the country. The application form for the 2021 admissions has been released on 20th October 2020. Candidates will be able to fill and submit their application forms through online mode. The exam will also be conducted as Paper pencil based on OMR answer sheets, on 10th January 2021. Find complete details of the AISSEE 2021 from this article below.

AISSEE 2021 application form has been extended till 18th December 2020. The exam has been rescheduled to be held on 7th February 2021.

AISSEE 2021 Eligibility Criteria 

Candidates who meet the eligibility criteria mentioned below can apply for the AISSEE 2021:

For class VI:

  • Gender: Only boy candidates are eligible for Sainik school admission.
  • Age criteria: As on 31st March 2021, the age of the candidate should not be less than 10 years or more than 12 years.

For class IX:

  • Gender: Boy candidates should only apply for the admissions.
  • Age criteria: The age of the candidates as on 31st March 2021 should be more than 13 years and less than 15 years.
  • Qualification: Candidates applying for the class 9 exam should be studying in class 8 in a recognized school.

AISSEE 2021 Application Form

Candidates can apply online for AISSEE 2021 by visiting the website of the National Testing Agency https://aissee.nta.nic.in/. Only those who meet the criteria prescribed above should proceed with this.

  • Application form can be filled by entering the basic personal, academic, contact and other details of the candidates.
  • Candidates are also allowed to provide their choice for exam city center into the application form.
  • Photograph and signature of the candidate in scanned format need to be uploaded into the form.
  • After providing these details into the form, the next step will be the payment of the application fee.
  • Once the payment is done successfully, candidates need to upload in the form the copies of their birth certificate, domicile certificate and caste certificate.
  • Process of form filling completes after this and the candidates can take a printout of their form for future reference.

Application fee:

  • The application fee for AISSEE will be Rs. Rs.550/- for General/Wards of Defence personnel and ex-servicemen/OBC(NCL) and Rs. 400- for SC & ST candidates.
  • Mode of payment is online and can be done using debit card/ credit card or net banking.

AISSEE Admit Card 2021

  • Candidates can download their AISSEE e-admit card from the official website https://aissee.nta.nic.in/.
  • It is mandatory for the candidates to carry a hard copy of the admit card with them during the examination.
  • Admit card of the candidates will be checked and only those with a valid admit card will be allowed to enter the exam hall.
  • The candidates are advised to preserve this admit card even after the exam is over as it might be required during the admission process.
  • To avoid loss or damage of the admit card, the candidates should keep its multiple printouts with them.

AISSEE 2021 Result

  • The entrance exam result is expected to be announced in the month of February 2021 through online mode.
  • Merit list of those who clear the exam will be drawn and published on the website of National Testing Agency. 
  • A call letter to appear for the medical exam will also be published for the qualified candidates at the same time.
  • Along with the result, the candidates will also be able to download and see their OMR answer sheet.
  • For this, the candidates need to login to their account using the registration details and also make payment of a prescribed amount of fee.

Medical Exam

  • Details related to the medical examination will be communicated to the candidates through their call letter.
  • Candidates reporting for the medical exam should carry their documents with them for verification.
  • A final merit list of the candidates who clear the medical exam and get their documents verified will be prepared.
  • Final selection of the candidates will be done according to their name in the list.

Important Documents

During the medical exam, the candidates must be present with the following documents in original and photocopy:

  • Certificate for date of birth
  • Copy of entrance exam result
  • Category certificate, for SC/ ST candidates
  • Permanent resident certificate
  • Certificate of income from Tahsildar
  • Certificate of domicile from Tahsildar
  • Service book for Defence quota candidates
  • 4 latest passport size photographs

AISSEE 2021 FAQs

Except online, is there any other way I can fill and submit the applications?

No. The application form will only be available through online mode. There is no need to send hard copies of application or any other document to Sainik schools and should be only submitted online.

How can I check the answer key of the entrance exam?

The answer key for both class 6 and 9 will be released on the official website https://aissee.nta.nic.in/. You just need to visit this website and click on the link ‘Current Year Question Paper & Answer Key’ and select the exam for which you want to see the answer key. Your answer key will appear on the screen.

Can I present medical certificate of my own if I don’t wish to attend the medical examination?

No. It is mandatory for the applicants to report for the medical exam as intimated by the authorities in the call letter. Those who fail to do so will forfeit their seats.

Is the process of admission into different Sainik schools is same or different?

The entrance exam is common for admission to all Sainik schools and will be followed by medical exam for sure. However, depending on the schools, they might or might not include any other criteria for admissions.

Is there any scholarship available to study in the Sainik schools?

The govt. of the state where the Sainik School is located or the central govt. may provide certain provisions for scholarship to the needy and deserving candidates. Details of the scholarships awarded by the state & central government can be found from the official website of the school.
