Ph.D at NIT Calicut

Eligibility Criteria Ph.D at NIT Calicut

• For Ph.d in Engineering or Faculty of Engineering, M.tech degree is required with minimum of 60% marks and 55% marks for SC/ ST.
• For PhD in Architecture, Masters degree is requires in Architecture, Designing, Planning, Engineering or Technology with a minimum of 60% marks and 55% marks for SC and ST.
• For PhD in Nano- Science and Technology requires a M.Tech degree in any of the one disciplines as in Engineering, Technology, Nano-Science and Technology with a minimum of 60% marks and 55% marks for SC and ST.
• For PhD in Bio-Technology needs M.Tech degree in life science, bio-technology with a minimum of 60% marks and a minimum of 55% marks.
• For PhD in Science needs either a master’s degree in statistics, mathematics, chemistry, electronics, nano&science technology, material science, photonics, computer applications and physics or M.Tech in any of the relevant related areas with a minimum of 60% marks for general category and 55% for SC/ST.

B.Tech/B.Arch at NIT Calicut

There is no doubt that NIT Calicut is one of the top engineering colleges in India. Eligibility Criteria 

• Candidates for M.Tech must have completed their full four-year degree program as in B.Tech/B.E and should have attained a minimum of 60% of CGPA. For SC and ST minimum qualifying marks are 55%. Candidates under lateral entry should have passed three years diploma in engineering with minimum of 60% marks and 55% marks for SC and ST.
• In case of M.Tech plan candidates are ought to have passed five-year regular program in B.Arch degree and four-year regular full-time program in B.E and B.Tech with a minimum of 60% marks in all aggregate semesters and 55% marks for SC and ST with aggregate in all semesters.
• The maximum age for M.Tech/ M.Tech Plan is 40 years.
• Sponsored candidates must have a minimum of two years of experience and the program should be sponsored by their employers.

M.Sc Programs at NIT Calicut

M.SC programs are offered in three different disciplines as in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.

Eligibility Criteria for M.Sc Programs at NIT Calicut

• M.Sc in Mathematics requires a minimum of B.Sc degree in mathematics/ statistics or three main systems/ applied mathematics. Mathematics should be at least one subjects with 60% minimum. SC/ST candidates must have attained 55% marks in mathematics.
• M.Sc in Physics requires a bachelors degree with a minimum of 60% marks with Physics as main and Mathematics as a subsidiary subject Or physics and mathematics amid the main subjects. For SC/ST Candidates minimum of 55% marks is required.
