West Bengal D.El.Ed Admission 2021

The West Bengal Board of Primary Education (WBBPE) will be providing the applicants admissions in the 2-year Diploma of Elementary Education program. Eligibility Criteria

There are certain that need to be fulfilled by the candidates in order to appear for the West Bengal D.El.Ed Admission 2021:

• The candidates should have passed Higher Secondary (10+2) exam or equivalent form a recognized board/university with a minimum of 50% marks (40% for SC / ST / OBC-A / OBC-B / PH / Ex-Servicemen candidates) in aggregate.
• The age of the candidates should not be more than 35 years as on 1^st July 2019. A relaxation of 5 years is given to SC / ST / OBC-A / OBC-B / PH candidates. The upper age limit is not applicable for the in-service teachers, appointed before 03.09.2003. Ex-Serviceman candidates shall get the benefit of age relaxation as per the rules.
• The candidates must have studied the language at the Higher Secondary level as a compulsory subject for which medium of instruction the candidate will be applying for admission. The second language must be English.

Application Form

The interested candidates who fulfill the eligibility requirement can fill the application form for West Bengal D.El.Ed Admission 2021. Admission Procedure

The West Bengal D.El.Ed Admission 2021 will be granted on the basis of marks secured in the qualifying examination. A merit list will be prepared and the applicants will be enrolled into the institutions as per their rank in the merit list. Before granting the final admission, the eligibility and documents of the candidates will also be verified.

Reservation of Seats

• 10% seats in D.I.E.Ts, Government / Government Sponsored /Government Aided Primary Teachers’ Training Institutes will be reserved for in-service primary teachers, appointed before 03.09.2003 and have secured 50% or 45% (as the case may be) in the 10+2 Examination, if duly deputed by the competent authority.
• 10% of the total intake of the self-financed non-Government institution shall be reserved under Management Quota. This quota is not applicable to the Government / Government Sponsored /Government Aided institutions.
