West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board (WBJEEB) will most likely release ANM and GNM application form in January 2024. The aim of conducting this exam is to shortlist candidates from admission to two years of Auxiliary Nursing & Midwifery (Revised) courses and three years General Nursing & Midwifery Course in Various Govt./ Pvt./ Self-Financed institute in the state of West Bengal. West Bengal ANM and GNM Eligibility Criteria

It is the responsibility of all candidates to make sure that they are eligible before filling the application form. The eligibility criteria are different for candidates for ANM and GNM courses as explained below.

ANM

  • Gender – Only Female
  • Maximum Age – 35 years as on 31st December 2024.
  • Residence – Must be a permanent resident of West Bengal uninterruptedly for at least last five years till 31st December 2024 and she must be a permanent resident of a Gram Panchayat area.
  • Language – Must be able to read, write, and express in Bengali and/or Nepali
  • Minimum Educational Qualification –
    • Must have passed class 12th from a recognized board with a minimum of 40% marks in aggregate.
    • Should have passed in English with a minimum of 40% marks in 10+2 examination.
    • Candidates passing 10+2 in Vocational Stream must be from any one of the following three disciplines.
      • Health Care Science
      • Agriculture
      • Home Science

GNM

  • Gender – Male and Female
  • Maximum Age – 35 years as on 31st December 2024
  • Residence – Must be a permanent resident of West Bengal uninterruptedly for at least last five years till 31st December 2024.
  • Language – Must be able to read, write, and express in Bengali and/or Nepali
  • Minimum Educational Qualification –
    • Must have passed class 12th from a recognized board with a minimum of 40% marks in aggregate.
    • Should have passed in English with a minimum of 40% marks in 10+2 examination.
    • Candidates passing 10+2 in Vocational Stream must be from any one of the following three disciplines.
      • Health Care Science
      • Agriculture
      • Home Science

Note: All candidates should be medically fit for the course and produce a medical fitness certificate.

West Bengal ANM and GNM 2024 Application Form

Those interested and eligible candidates who want to apply need to submit the application form before the last date. The registration process will take place in online mode. Given below are the steps that you need to follow in order to apply.

  • The application process of West Bengal ANM and GNM Admission 2024 starts with the registration for candidates on the official website.
  • At the time of registration, you will have to provide your personal details such as name, father’s name, mother’s name, date of birth, gender, identification type, and number, present and permanent address, mobile number, and email ID, etc.
  • Once registered, you may sign in by entering the credentials generated during registration.
  • After signing in, you will have to provide your complete educational, personal, and contact details.
  • The details entered in the application form should be accurate. Otherwise, the form can get rejected.
  • The candidate is required to upload JPG/ JPEG images of his/ her recent colour photograph (10 to 200 KB) and signature (4 to 30 KB).
  • In case document e.g. Certificate/ mark sheet etc. is to be uploaded, it must be in PDF format (50 to 300 KB).
  • It is also necessary for all candidates to pay the required application fee before the last date.
  • Finally, take a printout of the application form submitted (Confirmation page) and keep it safe for future requirements. Remember, the confirmation page is required at the time of the counselling.

Application Fee

  • The application fee for the West Bengal ANM/ GNM entrance examination  is given below.
    • SC/ ST/ OBC – A/ OBC – B/ Orphan Candidates – Rs. 200/-
    • All other candidates – Rs. 300/-

Mode of payment – Candidates need to pay the application fee online using a credit card/ debit card/ net banking.

West Bengal ANM and GNM 2024 Admit Card

  • The admit card will be generated on the notified date for the student to download and take a print.
  • To download an admit card, candidates will have to provide their registration details.
  • The admit card will carry information regarding the date, time, and venue of the examination.
  • No candidate will be allowed to enter the examination without an admit card, a passport-sized photograph, and one photo ID proof.
  • The admit card will be required at the time of the counselling. If a candidate needs a duplicate admit card after the examination the same can be provided by board only after 60 days of result declaration. In order to get a duplicate admit card, candidates must apply to the board and pay a processing fee of Rs. 500/- by a bank draft in the name of “West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board” payable in Kolkata.

The pattern of the West Bengal ANM/ GNM Entrance Exam is given below.

  • Mode of examination – Offline (OMR sheet based test)
  • Number of questions – 65 questions
  • Type of questions – Objective type multiple choice questions
  • Duration of examination – 90 minutes (1 hour and 30 minutes)
  • Language of questions – English and Bengali
  • Maximum marks – 65 marks
  • Marking Pattern – Each question will carry 1 mark
  • Negative marking – 0.25 marks will be deducted for every incorrect answer

Result

  • The result of the West Bengal ANM and GNM Entrance test will release online.
  • Please note that WBJEEB does not publish any rank/ score list.
  • The result will be published in the form of Rank card. It will contain rank and score of the candidate.
  • Candidates can view and download their rank card by logging in with their password.
  • Duplicate rank cards cannot be generated at any later stage after completion of counselling and admission conducted by the board.
  • In a case candidate needs a duplicate rank card even after completion of counselling and admission conducted by the board.

Counselling

  • The separate notification for counselling will release after the declaration of the result.
  • Course-wise and institute wise availability of seats will be published before counselling and seat allotment.
  • During the counselling process, candidates will be asked to provide the choice of course and colleges.
  • Seats are to be allotted based on candidate’s performance in the entrance test and choice filling during counselling.
  • The admission will be confirmed only after the verification of documents and payment of admission fee.

Question – 1: What documents do I need to carry at the time of the examination?

Answer: You must have to the following documents with you at the time of the examination.

  • A printed copy of admit card of ANM (R) & GNM

Answer: No, the admit card will not be sent by post. All candidates need to download the same online.
