WBUT PGET Eligibility Criteria 2023 Highlights

• Only Indian citizens are permitted to apply.
• Candidates should have obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture/Engineering/Technology or its equivalent.
• Aspirants, who are among associated members of professional engineers under Govt. of India, can also apply.
• Candidates, who have obtained M.Sc degree in the relevant discipline, are also permitted to apply.
• Candidates, who have obtained the degree in distance mode, are restricted to apply.
• Final year candidates, who can submit the necessary documents before August 2022 (tentatively), are permitted to apply.

Eligibility Criteria in Brief

• Eligibility For M.Tech in Electronics & Communication Engineering: Candidates, who have either obtained B.Tech/B.E in AEIE/ECE/Control & Instrumentation engineering or M.Sc in Physics/Electronics, can apply.
• Eligibility For M.Tech in Microelectronics & VLSI Technology: Candidates, who have either obtained B.E/B.Tech in ECE/CSE or M.Sc in Physics/Electronics/Computer Science or its equivalent, are allowed to apply.
• Eligibility For M.Tech in Computer Science & IT Field: Candidates, who have obtained B.Tech/B.E in IT/CSE or MCA or M.Sc in Mathematics/Computer Applications/Computer Science, are permitted to apply.
• Eligibility For M.Tech in Multimedia & Software Systems: Candidates, who have obtained B.Tech/B.E in IT/CSE or MCA degree, are allowed to apply.
• Eligibility For M.Tech in Ceramic Technology: Candidates, who have obtained M.Sc in Physics/ Pure/Applied Physics/Material Science/ Chemistry or B.Tech/B.E in relevant discipline, are permitted to apply
• Eligibility For M.Tech in Bio-Technology: Candidates, who have obtained M.Sc in Bio-Informatics/ Bio-Chemistry/ B.Pharm/ Genetic Engineering or its equivalent or B.E./B.Tech. In Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology, are permitted to apply.
• Eligibility For M.Tech in Leather Technology: Candidates, who have obtained M.Sc in Bio-Chemistry/Bio-Technology/Chemistry or B.Tech in Biotechnology/Leather technology or its equivalent, are permitted to apply.
• Eligibility For M.Tech in Bio-informatics: Candidates, who have obtained M.Sc in Chemistry/Physics/Bio Sciences/Mathematics or B.Tech/B.E in Biotechnology/ Bio-Informatics / CE/ B.Pharm, are permitted to apply.
• Eligibility For M.Tech in Chemical Engineering: Candidates should have obtained B.E/B.Tech in Chemical engineering or its equivalent for admission to this programme.
• Eligibility For M.Tech in Applied Electronics & Instrumentation: Candidates should have obtained B.E./B.Tech. in AEIE/ ECE/Instrumentation/ EE & EEE in order to apply for this programme.
• Eligibility Criteria for M.Tech in Civil Engineering: Candidates should have obtained B.Tech/B.E programme in Civil Engineering or its equivalent.
• Eligibility Criteria for M.Tech in Electrical Engineering: Candidates should have obtained B.E/B.Tech in Electrical engineering or its equivalent.
• Eligibility Criteria for M.Tech in Mechanical Engineering: Candidates should have obtained B.E/B.Tech in Production Engineering or ME.
• Eligibility Criteria for M.Tech in Mechatronics Engineering: Candidates should have obtained B.E/B.Tech in ECE/ EE/IE/AEIE, ME, I&CE or its equivalent.
• Eligibility Criteria for M.Tech in Food Technology: Candidate should hold B.Tech/B.E in Food Technology.
• Eligibility Criteria for M.Tech in Automotive Technology: Candidates should have obtained B.E./B.Tech. In ME / Automobile Engineering /Production Engineering/ Manufacturing Engineering/ Industrial Engineering or its equivalent.
