VMOU Pre Ph.D Entrance Test Important Dates (Tentative)

Eligibility Criteria 

Candidates must satisfy below eligibility conditions before appearing in VMOU Pre PhD Entrance test.

Candidates who have done Master’s Degree from the universities/institutions recognized by UGC/AICTE/NCTE with obtaining a minimum of 55% marks (50% marks for candidates belonging to SC/ST categories of Rajasthan) in the concerned subjects are eligible to apply.

VMOU Pre Ph.D Entrance Test Application Form: How to apply?

Online Application form for Pre-Ph.D. Entrance test will be available online only. Interested and eligible candidates can apply for the programme online by visiting the official website of the university. Fill the form carefully and correctly. Candidates need to submit the duly filled in application form along with fee and other important documents on or before the due date. Candidates are not required to send any printed version of their form/documents.

Application Fee

The candidates will have to pay an amount of Rs. 2000/- as applicable Pre-Ph.D Entrance test Exam Application fee. The payment of application fee/exam fee can be made online mode through (Debit Card/ Internet Mobile Payment Service/ Net Banking/ E-Mitra.) The application fee will be non- refundable and non-transferable at any stages.

Admit card

Applicants will able to download their Pre-Ph.D. Entrance test Admit card from the official website of university i.e. www.vmou.ac.in from the one week before the date of the entrance examination.

Examination Pattern

The entrance test will comprise of objective type question (MCQs) of 100 marks and an interview of 20 marks i.e. Total of 120 marks (40+60 Written Exam + 20 Marks Interview). Each question will carry 1 mark. There will be no negative marking. The duration of the entrance test will be 2 hours. The exam will conduct in both Hindi and English language.

The paper consists of two parts i.e. part 1 of 40 marks & Part 2 of 60 marks as mentioned below

Part 2: It will be subject-specific, which means to check the subject knowledge and subject-specific research aptitude of forthcoming researchers. Syllabus of Ph.D. pre Entrance Test will be according to UGC NET / CSIR / SLET / ICAR.
