VITMEE 2022: Application Form, Eligibility Criteria, Exam Date

To select the candidates for admissions into M.Tech and MCA courses offered by the Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT), VITMEE is conducted. Candidates who meet the eligibility criteria will be able to fill their application form in online mode tentatively from the month of March 2022 onwards. The entrance exam is expected to be held in the month of June 2022 and will be conducted as a computer-based test. VITMEE Eligibility Criteria 2022

Candidates meeting the eligibility criteria prescribed below can apply for VITMEE 2022:

Nationality:

  • Candidates who belong to Indian nationality and have graduated from institutions located in India are eligible.
  • Foreign and NRI/ PIO applicants can apply too but their applications are to be made separately.

Academic qualification:

  • Candidates should have graduated with a full-time degree in a relevant branch from any recognized university/ institute with a minimum aggregate of 60% marks or 1st class.
  • A consistent record in class 10th and 12th is required.
  • Candidates appearing for their final degree exam in the year 2022 are also eligible to apply. Such candidates should clear the exam before the starting of the interview process.

VITMEE 2022 Application Form

Candidates interested in admission to M.Tech & MCA program offered by VIT can submit their application form through online mode. The online application form will be made available on the official website of the university www.vit.ac.in.

  • Personal details such as name, gender, date of birth, email id, phone number, etc of the candidates will be asked in the application form.
  • Details related to graduation such as college name, year of passing, marks secured, etc should be provided in the application form.
  • Candidates also need to upload their photograph and signature in the scanned format in the application form.
  • After providing all the details in the application form, candidates should carefully check for any error and if found, should correct it immediately.
  • The application form can then be submitted online along with the prescribed amount of application fee.
  • Upon successful submission, a printout of the application form should be taken and kept by the candidates for future reference.

Application fee:

  • The application fee for VITMEE 2022 is expected to be Rs. 1121/-.
  • Candidates can make payment of application fee through online mode using the facility of net banking or via debit card/ credit card.

VITMEE Slot Booking 2022

  • Candidates who submit their application form successfully can proceed with the slot booking.
  • A link will be sent to the registered email address of the candidates for the booking of exam slot.
  • Following the instructions given in this link, the candidates can successfully book their slot.
  • Once the slot is booked, the candidates will receive a confirmation email containing the details of the slot allotted to them.
  • After slot booking, the admit card of the candidates will be made available for download.

VITMEE 2022 Admit Card

  • The admit card for the VITMEE 2022 will be published on the official website of the university.
  • Using their application details, the candidates will be able to download the admit card.
  • After downloading, a printout of the admit card should be taken and carried while reporting to the exam center on the exam day.
  • Only the candidates with an admit card and a valid id proof will be allowed to enter the exam hall.
  • Admit card should be preserved by the candidates till the whole process of admission is over.

VITMEE Result 2022

  • The result of the VIT postgraduation entrance test will be released online tentatively in the month of June 2022.
  • To check the result, the candidates will have to visit the official website of VIT, click on the result link and enter their roll number.
  • On the basis of marks scored by the candidates in the entrance exam, a merit list will be prepared by the authority.
  • Counseling of the qualified candidates will be carried out as per their names in the merit list.

VITMEE 2022 Counseling

  • Information regarding the counseling process will made available on the VIT’s website after declaration of result.
  • At the time of counseling, the documents of the candidate will be verified and therefore all the documents should be carried in original and photocopy.
  • Upon successful document verification, seats will be allotted to the candidates and they will be required to pay the remaining balance.
  • Admission will be considered as final after verification of certificate and payment of the required fees.

Can I submit my application form through offline mode?

No. The VITMEE application form 2022 will be released only through online mode.

In case of any error in the admit card, whom should I contact?

In case of any discrepancy in the admit card, the candidates should contact the Director (PG Admissions) through email at pgadmission@vit.ac.in or call at +91-416-220 2188.

What important documents should be carried at the time of counseling and admission?

The candidates should submit the following documents at the time of counseling and admission:

Is there any provision for scholarship for candidates securing admission to M.Tech degree program?

GATE qualified students will be offered fellowship from AICTE according to AICTE norms. For the 20 students admitted to M.Tech Nanotechnology programme, fellowship of Rs. 12,400/- per month and contingency of Rs. 15,000/- per annum will be offered based on VITMEE rank with preference to GATE score.

If I do not want to take admission in VIT after securing seat, can I get refund of tuition fee?

If for any reason the candidate withdraws from the programme, the refund will be made as per the norms of the UGC.
