Eligibility criteria

General eligibility criteria for various PG Courses:

Candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree under related stream with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.

Eligibility criteria for various PG courses are listed below:

For Statistics

Candidates must have at least Second class Honours in Mathematics/ Statistics or Second class Honours in any other subject with Mathematics / Statistics as a pass or elective subject or minimum 50% marks in aggregate for pass applicants having Mathematics/ Statistics as optional subject.

For Anthropology

Candidates with 2^nd class Honours in Anthropology or minimum 2^nd class Honours in other subjects, such as, Psychology, Sociology, Economics, History, Political Science, and Geography with Anthropology as pass or optional subject with minimum of 50% marks or Second Class Honours in Botany, Zoology, Micro-biology, Biotechnology, and Geology are eligible to apply.

For Geography

Candidates with 2^nd Class Honours in Geography or minimum 2^nd Class Honours in other subjects with Geography as a Pass Subject at +3 Degree (Science/ Arts) Level.

For P.M.I.R

Candidate should have done Bachelor’s Degree (except AMIE) with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.

For Library & Information Science

Candidates with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate at +3 Degree level can apply.

For LL.M

Candidates having 50% marks in LL.B or equivalent law degree can apply.

For Ancient Indian History, Culture & Archaeology

Candidates having at least second-class Honours in History or 2^nd class Honours in other subjects with a minimum of 50% marks in Archaeology and Museology as a pass subject at the + 3 Degree level.

For Biotechnology

Candidates with +3 degree in Biological Sciences/ Physical with a minimum of 55% marks in B.Sc. and Biology / Biotechnology as one of the subjects in 12^th standard are eligible to apply.

For MCA Programme

Candidates having a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate and Statistics/ Mathematics as a core subject at 12^th class can apply for admission.

Utkal University PG Application Form: How to apply?

Candidates can apply for Utkal University PG Admission online only. Interested and eligible candidates can obtain the application form from the official website i.e. www.utkaluniversity.ac.in. The candidates will deposit necessary application fee first and then continue to fill the online application form.

After the successful online submission, the printout of the filled application form will also be submitted to the Utkal University otherwise the applicants will not be allowed to write in Utkal University PG Entrance Test.

Candidates have to submit Rs 600/ (for each course) to apply for PG programme.

Application procedure

• Firstly, candidates have to register themselves by using the online link.
• On successful registration, candidates will be received application registration number on their valid phone number and email id (provided during registration).
• After that, candidates can proceed for online application fee payment process through SB Collect.
• On the successful payment, candidates will be allowed to fill up the application form. They can access the application form by using the generated application registration number and password.
• Candidates have to enter the required personal, professional and academic qualification as per given format.
• Candidates are advised to fill application form carefully and correctly.
• Take the print out of duly filled in application form and send the same along with important documents mentioned in the brochure within seven days to the end date of submission of online application through registered/speed post to

Admit card

The candidates who have submitted application form successfully can download the Utkal university PG entrance test admit card from the university’s website. Candidates can download the hall ticket by providing the valid login details in prescribed fields. The admit card will comprise of some important details of the candidate and the schedule, venue of the entrance examination.

Selection Process

Selection of candidates to the PG Courses will be done on the basis of career and entrance test scores.
