UPTU MCA 2022: Application form, Eligibility Criteria, Exam Date

Dr. A.P.J Abdul Kalam Technical University will conduct the U.P. State Entrance Examination (UPSEE) in order to select the candidates for UPTU MCA 2022 admission. The candidates looking for a lateral entry admission to MCA can also apply for UPSEE. The application form for UPSEE is expected to be released in the month of January 2020 and mode of application will be online. The entrance exam for UPTU MCA 2022 will be held in online mode (Computer-based test)

For admission to the first year of MCA, the candidates need to appear for Paper 10 of UPSEE while for lateral entry admission to 2^nd year of MCA, the candidates have to appear for Paper 11. UPTU MCA Eligibility Criteria 2022

The candidates must fulfill the eligibility criteria given below in order to be eligible for the UPTU MCA 2022 exam.

Nativity

• The candidate must have passed qualifying exam from the state of Uttar Pradesh or the parents of the candidate must be a domicile of Uttar Pradesh (Father or Mother)

Educational Qualification

For MCA (1^st year)

• The candidate must possess a bachelor’s degree in any discipline with at least 50% marks (45% for SC/ST candidates)
• The candidates must have passed Mathematics as a subject at 10+2 or Graduation level.

For Lateral entry admission to MCA 2^nd year

• The applicant must have a BCA, B.Sc (IT/ Computer Science) degree with 50% marks in aggregate (45% for SC/ST candidates)
• The candidate must have passed Mathematics at Graduation or 10+2 level.

UPTU MCA Application Form 2022

The interested candidates can fill and submit the UPTU MCA 2022 application form in online mode through the official website of the university i.e. www.upsee.nic.in. The application form is expected to be released in the month of January 2022. The candidates need to provide all the required educational, personal and contact details in the application form. It is recommended that the candidates should provide only the authentic details in the application form as the documents will be verified at the time of counselling.

Along with the details, the candidates have to upload the scanned images of passport size photograph and signature in a prescribed format. After submitting the application form, the candidates need to submit the application fee. There is no need to send the hard copy of submitted application form to the university.

The UPTU MCA 2022 application fee for different categories will be as follows:

For Male and Transgender applicants of General/ OBC categories: Rs. 1300/-

For Female/ SC/ ST/ PH candidates: Rs. 650/-

Mode of payment

• The applicant can pay the application fee in online mode by using a credit card, debit card or net banking.

UPTU MCA 2022 Exam Pattern

The candidates aspiring to appear for UPTU MCA 2022 entrance exam should go through the exam pattern given below:

Mode of exam: Online (Computer Based Test)

Number of Questions: 100

Type of Questions: Objective type multiple choice questions will be asked.

Marking Scheme: 4 marks will be given for a correct answer and there will be no negative marking.

Exam centers: The exam will be held at around 17 cities across Uttar Pradesh.

UPTU MCA Syllabus 2022

The syllabus for UPTU MCA 2022 exam will be as follows:

For UPSEE Paper 10 (Aptitude Test for MCA)

Mathematics: Modern Algebra, Probability, Algebra, Trigonometry, Calculus, Co-Ordinate Geometry, Dynamics, Statics, Vectors etc.

Statistics: Mean, Mode, Median, Dispersion and Standard Deviation

Logical Ability: The questions will be asked to determine the analytical and reasoning abilities of a candidate.

For UPSEE Paper 11 (Aptitude Test for 2nd Year MCA (Lateral Entry)  

Mathematical Structures: Modern Algebra and Matrices, Combinatorics and Probability, Number Theory and Methods of Proof and Set Theory

Computing Concepts: Proposition logic and Boolean algebra, Principles of Computer Science, Theory of Computation, Numerical Techniques

Reasoning ability: In this section, the questions will be asked to assess the reasoning and logical proficiency of a candidate.

How to prepare for UPTU MCA 2022 exam?

If you are looking for an admission to a good college in AKTU, then you must obtain good marks in the UPSEE exam. Here are some tips that can help the aspiring candidates in order to prepare for the UPTU MCA entrance exam.

1. Read and understand the exam pattern and syllabus so that you can plan your studies in a better way.
2. Create a timetable which you can follow easily. Make sure you spend more time on the topics in which you are weak.
3. As you can see in the exam pattern a lot of question will be asked from Mathematics and statistics subjects. So, practice is going to be the key. Ensure that you practice enough to do well in the mathematics and statistics sections.
4. Keep revising the topics you have already studied.
5. Solve at least 2 previous year question papers and mock tests to be more familiar with the exam pattern.

UPTU MCA 2022 Admit Card

The candidates who will successfully submit the application form and application fee can download the admit card from the official website. It should be noted that the downloaded admit card will be treated as valid and the university will not send admit card by post or by any other offline medium. The candidates should verify the details mentioned on the admit card such as Name, Father’s name, gender, category, sub-category etc. No candidates will be allowed to appear for the exam without a valid admit card.

UPTU MCA Result 2022

It is expected that the result of UPTU MCA 2022 entrance exam will be declared in the first week of June 2022. The aspirants can check their result online through the official website. Along with the result, the university will also release the category wise merit list on the official website.  In case of a tie, the candidates with a less number of incorrect answers will be ranked better. The minimum cutoff marks will be 25% (20% for SC/ST).

UPTU MCA 2022 Counselling

The candidates who will score more than cutoff marks in the entrance exam will be called to participate in the UPTU MCA counselling. During the counselling process, the candidates have to enter their choice of institutes. It is mandatory for the candidates to carry the original documents at the time of counselling for verification purpose. The seats will be allotted as per the rank obtained by the candidates and availability of seats.
