UPSEE 2019: AKTU/UPTU Admission, Form, Eligibility

UPSEE 2019: Dr A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU), Uttar Pradesh will be the conducting body for UPSEE 2019. The Uttar Pradesh State Entrance Examination (UPSEE 2019) will be organized for providing admission to various UG/PG courses offered by AKTU and its all affiliated technical institutions/colleges. The entrance test will be conducted separately for admission to different courses in the field of engineering, pharmacy, architecture, hotel management, fine arts, management etc. Admission to various undergraduate and postgraduate programmes is offered on the basis of merit achieved in UPSEE.

UPSEE 2019 Important dates

Below, aspirants can check all the important exam dates of UPSEE 2019.  The dates provided here are tentative and based on previous year data. The actual dates for UPSEE 2019 are not yet released by the authority. After, the release of the official schedule, we will update it in our post.

Eligibility criteria

It is must for all the candidates to satisfy all the important eligibility criteria of UPSEE 2019 before commencing the application filling process. The candidates who have passed the qualifying exam from any institution located in U.P. or whose parents are domicile of U.P are only eligible. There is no age limit for admission to the courses covered in UPSEE 2019.

As UPSEE 2019 consist of 11 papers, the eligibility criteria of all these papers may differ from each other. Here we are listing the eligibility criteria for engineering courses under UPSEE 2019.

For 1st year admission:

For 1st year entry for NRI candidates/Foreign Nationals (FN)/Persons of Indian Origin (PIO)/Children of Indian Workers in Gulf Countries (CIWGC):

The applicant should have passed the qualifying examination outside India (considered equivalent to (10+2) examination by the Association of Indian Universities) with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.

Note: If any qualifying examination Board/University awards only letter grades, the candidate should obtain a certificate from the Board/University specifying equivalent marks and submit it at the time of document verification.

UPSEE 2019 Application Form: How to apply?

Interested and eligible candidates can apply for UPSEE 2019 through online mode only. To fill the online application form, candidates have to visit the official website. It is expected that the university will release the UPSEE 2019 application forms in the month of January 2019. Candidates have to supply all the required details in the form carefully and correctly. They also have to upload scanned images of photograph, signature, and as per the given specifications. There will be no need to send print copy of filled-in application form/or any document to the University. The Aadhaar card is a necessary document required while filling the application form.

Application fee:

The examination fee can be paid only through Credit Card/Debit Card/Net Banking/Wallets. The structure of the fee is given as:

After fee payment, a confirmation page is generated and the candidate should take printouts of this page. In case of failed transaction, the candidate will have to make the payment again and the amount, if debited during the failed attempt, will be refunded back. In case of no refund till 5 days, send a mail to helpdesk mentioning your Application Number, Transaction Number, Date of Birth, and Aadhaar Number.

After submission of the application form, an application number is generated and after the submission of application fee, a transaction number is generated. Both these number must be noted down and kept safe for future references.

UPSEE 2019 Exam Pattern

Having good knowledge of the examination pattern is a must for the better preparation. The UPSEE 2019 Exam pattern will give an outline about the question paper including subjects covered in exam, number of questions, marking scheme, etc. Here, candidates can check the UPSEE 2019 exam pattern for all 11 papers.

Language of the Paper All question papers for UG admissions (except Paper 4) will be in Hindi and English.

Part B of Paper 4 can be opted either in English or in Hindi.

UPSEE Syllabus 2019

The syllabus of UPSEE 2019 will vary from paper to paper. The UPSEE exam will be organized for a total of 11 papers and each paper comprises questions from different subjects/areas. For Paper 1, the questions will be asked from Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects and Paper 2 will cover the important topics Physics, Chemistry and Biology subjects of 11th and 12th standard. UPSEE 2019 Admit Card

It is expected that the UPSEE 2019 admit card will be released in the month of April 2019. Candidates can download the admit card of UPSEE 2019 from the official website by providing their registration number or roll number in the given fields. The details of admit cards such as Name, Father’s Name, category, gender, rural weightage, etc. must be checked and any error must be reported immediately. If any candidate is unable to download the admit card, the helpline must be contacted. It is necessary for all candidates to bring their admit card while appearing in the examination center. UPSEE 2019 Result

The conducting body will announce the UPSEE 2019 result probably in the month of June 2019. After the announcement of result, a separate merit list will also be prepared for each course, based on the marks achieved by candidate in UPSEE exam. Merit position, score-card with total marks and marks obtained in each subject will be available on website after the declaration of the result.

The candidates not satisfied with the result can get their answer sheets scrutinized by paying Rs. 5000/- per paper within seven days of declaration of result. The application for scrutiny may be submitted in writing to the Registrar, Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University Uttar Pradesh, Lucknow (U.P.) 226031.

Tie-Breaker rules

In case of a tie, the candidates with less number of incorrect questions will be given a higher rank.

If the above rule is not able to break the tie, the following is considered:

  • Tech./B.Tech. (Bio-Tech.)/B.Pharm./B.Des./MCA (Integrated): Marks obtained in Mathematics/Biology, Physics, Chemistry respectively and then by age.
  • Arch.: Marks obtained in Drawing Aptitude, Mathematics & Aesthetics sensitivity respectively and then by age.
  • Tech. (Ag. Engg): Marks obtained in AG-I, AG-II, AG-III respectively and then by age.
  • BHMCT/BFAD/BFA/MBA/MBA (Integrated)/MCA/Lateral entry: By age only

Note: candidate older in age will be preferred.

At last, the lowest application number will be placed at higher in the merit.

UPSEE 2019 Counselling

Shortlisted candidates will be invited for counselling process on the basis of the merit list. Candidates have to attend the counselling in person to get admission in the particular course. Document verification and seat allotment will be done on the basis of candidate’s performance in the exam and availability of seats.

Admissions for NRI/FN/PIOCIWGC Candidates

NRI candidates may get direct admission on 5% seats of total intake in institutions having approval from AICTE, as per the latest instructions of Govt. of U.P. However, applicants opting B.Arch. course under this category may have to appear in an Aptitude Test on the day of counselling.

The FN/PIO/CIWGC candidates may get admissions up to the extent sanctioned by AICTE as per the guidelines of the University, under the approval of AICTE. The candidates, opting for admission under this scheme need not appear in UPSEE 2019. The B.Arch. course does not exist for such candidates.
