The Annamalai University of Tamil Nadu is responsible for organizing TN SET Exam every year. It is a state-level entrance test conducted to evaluate the eligibility of applicants for the post of Assistant Professor of concerned Private/ Government/ Aided universities/colleges of Tamil Nadu state.
TN SET exam 2024 will be conducted for 26 subjects to recruit eligible applicants for Assistant Professor posts based on their qualifications. TN SET Eligibility Criteria
Candidates who want to become an assistant professor through TN SET must check the eligibility criteria before applying for the exam. The details regarding the TN SET eligibility criteria are as follows.
Candidates must have a Master’s Degree with no less than 55% marks (50% marks for candidates belonging to reserved category).
Candidates appearing in the final year of the qualifying exam are also eligible to apply.
There will be no age criteria to apply for TN SET.

Aspirants are advised to check the eligibility norms and important instructions before filling out the application form. The application process for TN SET 2024 will be commenced in June 2024 through online mode only.
To register for the exam, candidates need to visit the official website link and fill in the basic details such as email id, name, and mobile number.
Once the online registration will be over, a registration number and password will be sent to the candidate’s registered email address.

The exam will consist of 2 papers i.e., paper 1, and paper 2. The paper 1 will be similar to all the test takers, whereas paper-2 will have to be selected as per the academic qualification of the applicants. The details regarding the exam pattern are as follows:

TN SET 2024 Admit Card
The conducting body will release the admit card tentatively in July 2024 through online mode. Candidates who registered for the exam will be able to check/download their admit card from the official website link by entering their login credentials.
Candidates must carry the TN SET hall ticket to the examination centre while appearing for the exam. It consists of details like exam date & time, reporting time, examination venue, candidate’s roll number, etc. The officials will not let any candidate sit in the exam without a valid admit card and photo ID proof.

TN SET Answer Key 2024
The authority will release the TN SET Answer Key a few days after the completion of the exam. Candidates can check the answer key online from the official website after the release of the official notification. The answer key will consist of answers to all the questions asked in the exam.
In case of any issue with the answer key, the candidate will be allowed to file a complaint against it within the deadline. After considering all the objections, a final updated answer key will be released by the authority.
TN SET Result 2024
The result will be announced in August 2024 (tentatively) through online mode. Candidates will be allowed to check the result from the official website by using their registration number, password, and date of birth.
The TNSET 2024 result contains each candidate’s name, photo, exam date, roll number, section-wise score, and overall exam results. Candidates who qualify for the exam with minimum cutoff marks will be invited for the counselling process through online mode.
TNSET Counselling 2024
Based on the TNSET cutoff 2024 marks, candidates will be shortlisted for the post of Assistant Professor in Tamil Nadu State. The shortlisted candidates will have to attend the counselling process as per their TN SET merit rank.
The counselling will be conducted in many rounds and it includes stages like registration, document verification, interview, seat allotment, and payment of admission fee. The final recruitment will be based on the candidate’s score and their performance in the interview round.
