Introduction

SHIATS University  acronym for Sam Higginbottom Institute of Agriculture, Technology and Sciences is a governmentb aided Deemed University . The University saw its inception in the year 1910 and was brought in to existence by Dr Sam Higginbottom with an intention to augment the economic  status of rural population. In fact the University was the first educational set up to offer Agricultural engineering in the year 1942.

The University is affiliated to AIU, ACU, IAU and IAUA.

The University spreads over a massive area of 900 acres of land that comprises 300 acres of research farms . The academic area prominently involves on 11 hostels- 6 for women, 2 for men and 3 for international men. Along with it ecompasses various auditoria and departmental annexes.

Eligibility Criteria

In order to get selected for bachelors course, students have to apply for SHIATS entrance exam. The exam is conducted each year. Numerous students apply fo different discipline.

• In order to get selected for Bcahelor’s course candidate must be 10+2 with 50% marks
• For master course candidate must be 10+2+3 with 45% marks in graduation
• For diploma and certificate course candidate must be 10+2.

Usually the fee structure of different courses is different at different levels and for different semesters.

• For Bachelor Course fees varies from 35,000 INR to 60,000 INR (per semester)
• For Master Course fee varies from 25,000 INR to 68,000 INR (per semester)
• For Diploma Course fee varies from 5,000 INR to 25,000 INR (per semester)
