Pune MBBS/BDS Admission 2021: Pune is one of the largest cities of Maharashtra which is known as the education hub of the state. Eligibility Criteria

  • Candidates must be an Indian citizen.
  • Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) can also apply for Pune MBBS/BDS Admission 2021.
  • It is necessary that all the applicants must have completed the higher secondary education (12th) from a recognised
  • Moreover, they have also obtained a minimum 55% marks in 12th.
  • Candidates of the SC-PH/ST-PH/OBC-PH category will be eligible to apply with the 40% marks (45% marks in case of GEN-PH).
  • The age of the applicants needs to be 17 years.
  • Candidates appearing in the 12th standard exam will also be eligible to apply.

Admission Process

  • To be eligible to get admission into MBBS/BDS course, candidates will be required to take part in the national level entrance exam ‘NEET’.
  • National Eligibility cum Entrance Test is conducted by the CBSE.
  • Candidates can take admission in the MBBS/BDS institutes (both government and private) on the basis of the NEET score.
  • Candidates can take part in the admission counselling on the basis of the scorecard of the NEET.
  • Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) & Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) will also conduct the all India level NEET counselling.
  • Candidates can apply for admission to the 2510 seats of MBBS and 450 seats for BDS course in the medical institutes located in the Pune city of the state of Maharashtra.

Entrance Exam

  • The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) conduct the national level medical entrance test which is called the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET).
  • Candidates need to take part in the entrance exam which will be commenced in the month of May.
  • The score, which candidates get in the NEET, will be the only criteria for admission into the medical institutes located in Pune.

Documents

Candidates, who wish to take part in admission counselling on the basis of the NEET score, will be required to present their certificates and documents at the time of counselling and admission. The documents have been enlisted in the following points:
