Panjab University Common Entrance Test Undergraduate 2022 or PUCET UG 2022 is a university level exam that will be conducted by the Panjab University, Chandigarh. Through this exam, the university will shortlist the candidates for admission to its B.Sc. (Hons.) and B.Pharm courses. In order to apply, the candidates have to submit the application form in online mode. Before starting the application process, the candidates should check the eligibility criteria.

The aspirant looking for admission through this exam should note the application process is available from 19th May 2022. It is also expected that the university will conduct this exam in 4 cities i.e. Chandigarh, Ludhiana, Muktsar, and Hoshiarpur.

PUCET UG 2022 Major Highlights

• The PUCET UG 2022 entrance exam will take place in offline mode (OMR sheet based exam).
• While preparing the merit list, the university will give 75% weightage to the PUCET UG score and 25% weightage to the 10+2 score.
• The eligibility criteria to appear for the PUCET UG exam varies for the different courses. So, it is very important to check the eligibility criteria before submitting the application form.
• There are four papers in the entrance exam. A candidate need to appear for the different papers as per the requirement of the desired course.
• The counselling process for admission will also take place in online mode.

PUCET UG 2022 Eligibility Criteria

The candidate should check the PUCET UG Eligibility Criteria 2022 carefully before starting the application form submission.

B.Pharma

• The candidate must pass the 10+2 or equivalent exam with at least 50 % marks.
• Additionally, the candidate should pass the 10+2 or equivalent exam with English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology/ Biotechnology/ Mathematics subjects.

B.Sc Hons. (Botany or Zoology)

• The applicant must pass the 10+2 exam with a minimum of 50% marks.
• Should have studied Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English at the 10+2 level.

B.Sc. Hons. (Anthropology/ Chemistry/ Geology/ Physics/ Biochemistry/ Microbiology/ Biotechnology/ Biophysics)

• In order to apply, the candidate must pass 10+2 or equivalent exam with English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology/ Mathematics subject and at least 50% marks.

For B.Sc. Hons. (Mathematics)

• The aspirant must clear the 10+2 or equivalent exam with Mathematics as a subject and a minimum of 50% marks.

Note: The minimum marks required for SC/ ST/ BC/ PwD candidates are 45%.

PUCET UG 2022 Application Form

Here are the instructions by which the candidates can submit the PUCET UG application form 2022 effortlessly..

• In order to start the application form submission, the candidate have to visit the official website i.e. www.puchd.ac.in.
• On the official website of the Panjab University, the candidates first have to register themselves by entering some basic details.
• After registration, the aspirants may start filling information in the main application form.
• While filling the application form, the candidates need to provide all the necessary educational details, like year of passing the class 12^th exam, marks in the qualifying exam etc.
• Apart from the educational details, the applicant need to provide personal details like name, address, father’s name etc.
• In addition to the details, every applicant have to upload the scanned images of their passport size photograph and signature.
• After submitting the application form, the candidates have to take a print out of the same for future requirement.

Application Fee

• The application fee for PUCET UG Entrance Exam 2022 is as follows:
  • General Category candidates: Rs. 2175/-
  • SC/ ST/ PwD Category candidates: Rs. 1088/-
  • For applying to additional paper (Biology/ Math): Rs. 300/-
• Please note that the application fee is non-refundable and non-transferable.

Mode of Payment

• The mode of PUCET UG Application Fee 2022 payment is offline.
• In order to pay the fee, the candidates have to submit the e-challan along with the application fee in cash at any branch of State Bank of India.
• The candidates can print the e-challan after submitting the application form on the official website.

PUCET UG 2022 Exam Pattern

The pattern of PUCET UG entrance exam is as follows:

• Mode of exam: Offline (OMR sheet based exam)
• Papers in exam: 4 (Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, Biology)
• Number of questions: 60 in each paper.
• Duration of exam: 70 minutes for each paper
• Medium of exam: English
• Exam Center: Chandigarh, Muktsar, Ludhiana, and Hoshiarpur.
• Type of Question: Objective type multiple choice questions
• Marking pattern: Each question will carry 2 marks
• Negative Marking: 0.5 mark will be deducted for every incorrect answer.

Please note that the candidates have to appear for the papers of different subjects in order to get admission to the different courses.

• Pharm – Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Mathematics
• Sc.Hons. (Botany or Zoology) – Physics, Chemistry and Biology
• Sc.Hons. (Anthropology / Chemistry/ Geology/ Physics/ Biochemistry/ Microbiology/ Biotechnology/ Biophysics) – Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Mathematics
• For B.Sc. Hons. (Mathematics) – Mathematics only.

PUCET UG 2022 Admit Card

• The admit card will release in online mode through the official website of the Panjab University.
• In order to download the admit card, the applicants need to sign-in using the login ID and password.
• The information regarding the date, time and venue to the exam will available on the admit card.
• The university will inform the candidates about the release of admit card through the email.
• It is mandatory for every candidate to carry the admit card at the examination centre.

PUCET UG 2022 Merit and Result

• After conducting the exam, the university will announce the result on the official website i.e. http://results.puchd.ac.in.
• The candidates should keep in mind that the university will not send the result card by post or any other offline medium.
• In addition to the result, the university will release the merit list for admission.
• Please note that in order to prepare the merit list, the university will give 25% weightage to the 10+2 marks and 75% weightage to PUCET UG 2022 marks.
• The PUCET UG result 2022 will also include the information about the status of the candidate i.e. Qualified or Not Qualified.
• The minimum cut off percentage is 15% of the total marks. 10% for the candidates from SC/ ST/ BC/ PwD categories.

Note: Before declaring the result the university will also release PUCET UG Answer Keys. The candidates will also have the facility to submit an objection against the answer keys.

Counselling and Admission

• Soon, after the declaration of result, the Panjab University will release the online admission form.
• The candidates who will get their name in the PUCET UG Merit list 2022 can fill up the admission form.
• After submitting the admission form, the candidates have to send their relevant documents to the following address.

• Then, the candidates have to fill up their preference of B.Pharma and B.Sc. (Hons.) courses in online mode.
• After that, the university will release the seat allocation list (1^st online counselling list)
• The candidates getting their names in the seat allocation list need to visit the respective department of the university in order to confirm the admission.
• A subsequent round of counselling will also take place depending upon the availability of seats.
