Eligibility Criteria
For Engineering Technology disciplines
Candidates should hold Master’s degree in Engineering/ Technology of two years duration after graduation in relevant stream or equivalent with a minimum CGPA of 6.00 on a 10 point scale or equivalent or 60% marks in aggregate.
For Humanities & Social Science / Science, Management disciplines:
Candidates should hold Master’s degree in Humanities & Social Sciences/ Sciences/ Management in the related stream or equivalent with minimum CGPA of 6.00 on a 10 point scale or equivalent or 60% marks in aggregate.
SC/ST/PwD categories will be relaxed to 5.5 on a 10 point scale or equivalent, or to 55% marks for admission in PhD courses.
PEC University of Technology Ph.D Admission 2021 Application Form: How to apply?
Application form for PhD admission should be filled online. Candidates should fill all required details very carefully and correctly. They need to submit a printed copy of the filled registration form along with self-attested photocopies of the relevant documents and a demand draft of Rs. 1500/- (non-refundable) in favor of “PEC University of Technology – PG Admissions” payable at Chandigarh to Controller of Admissions, PEC University of Technology, Sector – 12, Chandigarh – 160012 via hand /registered post/ speed post on or before the due date.
The university will not be responsible for any delay in the receiving of hard copy of the Registration Form. The applicants are advised to keep one copy of the confirmation page with them for future use.
The applicants applying for more than one department must submit separate print-outs of online registration form on website

Selection Process
Admission of eligible candidates to the PhD course will be done on the basis of interview or written test (GATE/ NET syllabus) or both as specified by PhD Admission Committee of the related Department provided the applicants fulfil all the needs at the Institute level and the selected applicants remits the necessary fees for the PhD Programme.
Candidates, who are GATE/NET qualified, will be allowed for admission through interview only, while candidates from Non-GATE/Non NET category will be enrolled in the interview and written test.
