Meteorology, Agricultural, Agronomy, Entomology, Biotechnology, Extension Education, Horticulture (Floriculture and Landscaping), Food Technology, Horticulture (Full Science), Plant Breeding & Genetics, Horticulture (Vegetable Science), Plant Pathology, Energy Science & Technology, Soil Science, Farm Machinery & Power Engineering, Soil and Water Engineering, Processing and Food Engineering, Apparel & Textile Science, Food & Nutrition, Family Resource Management, Home Science Extension & Communication Management, Agricultural Economics, Human Development, Botany, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Business Administration, Sociology, Microbiology and Zoology.
Eligibility Criteria for PAU PhD Admission 2021
- A candidate should have obtained the minimum OCPA of 7.00 (out of the scale of 10.00) or 70% marks or equivalent at master’s level in the relevant or related stream.
- They also must have scored minimum OCPA of 5.50 (out of the scale of 10.00) or 55% marks or equivalent at the Bachelor’s level.
- There will a relaxation of 5% marks for candidates belonging to reserved categories

The prospectus along with application form containing important details and instructions about the Phd admission procedure, seat reservation, etc. can be obtained from the Additional Director of Communication, Centre for Communication & International Linkages, Punjab Agricultural University – Ludhiana. Candidates are advised to read the important instructions and eligibility criteria given in the prospectus carefully before starting the application process. They need to fill the details very carefully and accurately. Applicants need to pay Rs 3955/ as required application fee (including charges of downloading prospectus) through online. Application forms which are incomplete / received after the due date/ without entrance test fee will be directly rejected.
Selection Process
Admission of candidates will be done on the basis of marks scored in entrance exam followed by interview process organized by the university.
