NSD Admission 2024 Syllabus

The syllabus for NSD admission 2024 includes the methods opted by the notable theatre personalities responsible for shaping the contemporary theatre in all forms and expressions. It includes broad-based training in classical dramatic traditions in India and the West, modern theatre trends in India and abroad, and in the traditional and folk theatre of India, and specialized training in Indian theatre traditions. Candidates are expected to give their best performance in the test. They should be familiar with the old school acting methods and techniques as well as current acting trends such as dialogue delivery, expressions, and other aspects of the acting.

Application Form for NSD Admission 2024

The application form for admission into NSD can be filled either via online mode or via offline mode. Candidates can visit the official website to apply for the preliminary test/audition/workshop. The details should be entered very carefully as no editing request will be permitted once the form is submitted successfully. Candidates will need to register themselves first and then proceed for filling the application form.  Candidates will also be required to upload the scanned copy of the documents while filling the form. Apart from this, they need to pay a requisite amount of application fee to submit the form. Application received without the fee will be considered invalid. For the online application form, a candidate needs to pay Rs. 50/- via Credit card/Debit Card/Net Banking.

For the offline application form, a candidate needs to pay Rs.150/- via demand draft in favour of the director, NSD (New Delhi) indicating “application for admission 2024-2023”.

NSD Admission 2024 Eligibility Criteria

A candidate must satisfy the eligibility criteria laid down by the school for the 3 years diploma course in dramatic arts. Candidates found ineligible during the exam will be debarred from taking the exam. Candidates can check their eligibility status here-

Age limit: A candidate must be a minimum 18 years old and maximum 30 years old as on 1st July 2024.

Essential Qualification:

  • A candidate must have done graduation in any discipline from a recognized University in India or Abroad.
  • A candidate must have participated in at least 6 theatre productions.
  • A candidate must possess the working knowledge of Hindi / English.

Desirable Qualification:

  • 3 recommendations from theatre Experts.
  • Documentary proof of the theatre experience.

NSD Admission 2024- Result

The result of the candidate for NSD Admission 2024 will be published on the official website. The result will be based on the performance of a candidate in the preliminary test/audition and final workshop. NSD Admission 2024 Procedure
