NIT Sikkim PhD Admission Eligibility Criteria

Candidates looking for admission to PhD program offered at NIT Sikkim they must need to check out the minimum eligibility criteria required for admission. The details are as follows:

• Master degree in Engineering or Technology along with securing at least 65% marks or its equivalent grade. Or,
• Master degree in Science along with securing first class or at least 55% marks or its equivalent grade. Or,
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology or its equivalent along with obtaining at least 75% marks or its equivalent grade. Candidates belonging to SC/ST category will get a relaxation of 5% in marks.
• Candidates who are looking for admission under the department of Humanities and Social Sciences they also need to meet with one of the following criteria:
• Valid CEED/ GATE score
• UGC/ CSIR/ NBHM/ DST/ DBT award or Fellowship
• They should have at least one year of professional work experience who belong to self-financed category, sponsored or Institute staff of NIT Sikkim.
• If the candidate is project staff of NIT Sikkim then they should have 6 month of project work experience.
