NIT, Calicut Ph.D Admission 2021 Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility Criteria for Engineering Program

• Candidates should have completed M.Tech in Engineering/Technology in the associated discipline with securing at least 60% marks or CGPA of 6.5. SC/ST category candidates need to score at least 55% or 6.0 CGPA. Or,
• Candidates should have completed full time B.Tech/B.E degree in the related branch with securing 60% marks or 6.5 CGPA.

Candidates should have completed Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline with securing at least 90% marks or its equivalent CGPA (80% or its equivalent CGPA for SC/St category candidates) along with a genuine GATE score card.

Eligibility Criteria for Architecture

• Candidate should have completed Master’s degree in Design/Architecture/Engineering/Technology/Planning with securing 60% marks or 6.5 CGPA (55% marks or 6.0 CGPA) are eligible to apply.
• Candidates should have secured at least 60% marks (6.5 CGPA) or its equivalent both at bachelor’s as well as master’s level are eligible to apply. Candidates belonging to SC/ST category are required to score at least 55% marks or its equivalent CGPA at both bachelor’s as well as Master’s degrees level.

 How to Apply for NIT Calicut Ph.D Admission 2021?

• Candidates need to apply in online mode.
• Candidates need to remit the application fees in the form of demand draft (Rs. 600/- for OBC and open category candidates, Rs. 300/- for SC/ST category candidates). The demand draft should be drawn in favour of “Director NIT Calicut” payable at State Bank of India, NIT Calicut branch (code no. 2207) should be inserted.
• At last, printout of the application form along with all related enclosures needs to be sent to Chairperson – PG Admissions, National Institute of Technology Calicut, NIT Campus PO, Calicut – 673 601, Kerala through post.
