NIFT 2022: Admit Card (Out), Exam Date

NIFT 2022 admit card has been released on 21st March 2022. NIFT 2022 entrance Exam is conducted for admission to several undergraduate and postgraduate courses of Fashion and Design domain and application form for the same may release in the month of December 2021. Qualified candidates will be admitted into courses such as Bachelor of Design, Master of Fashion Technology, Bachelors of Fashion Technology, Master of Fashion Management, Master of Design, etc. in its various campuses in New Delhi, Jodhpur, Kangra, Bhubaneswar, Bengaluru, Mumbai, Chennai, Shillong, Patna, Srinagar, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Bhopal, Kannur, Gandhinagar, and Raebareli. Candidates have to qualify Creative Ability Test (CAT) and General Ability Test (GAT).

List of courses offered by National Institute of Fashion Technology are:

• Bachelor of Design (B.Des.) in Accessory Design, Fashion Design, Fashion Communication, Knitwear Design, Textile Design, Leather Design
• Bachelor of Fashion Technology (B.F.Tech) in Apparel Production

NIFT 2022 Eligibility Criteria

Check here course-wise eligibility criteria as specified by the conducting authority:

Age Criteria:

NIFT has not prescribed any age criteria for PG courses. However, for UG course, candidates’ age should not be older than 24 years as on 1st August 2022 (5 year relaxation for ST/SC).

Educational Qualification:

B.F.Tech (Apparel Production): Candidates who have cleared Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry from a recognized board or university.

B.Des Programme: Candidates who have passed 10+2 from a recognized board or university are eligible.

M.F.Tech Programme: Candidates who have attained a recognized BE/BTech degree or completed B.F.Tech from NIFT are eligible.

M.Des Programme: Candidates who possess a bachelor’s degree from a recognized institute or university or who have completed UG Diploma in UG design (3 years) either from NIFT or NID are eligible.

NIFT 2022 Application Form- How to Apply?

Candidates who are interested to get admission to UG or PG programmes offered by NIFT they can obtain its application form from 3rd December 2021 onwards. Please follow the steps given below to apply for the exam:

NIFT application form will release online at its official website.

Candidates have to confirm the eligibility before you fill out the application form.

The application form is likely to be available from 2nd week of December 2021 to 3rd week of January 2022.

Please provide only genuine details in the application form. Have required documents ready before you provide information in the application.

Candidates must know the deadline of application which is 17th January 2022. You have to fill and submit your application before the given deadline.

Please keep printout of the duly filled application for future reference.

Application Fee

Details regarding application fee is as follows:

• For General/OBC-NCL- Rs.2000/-
• For SC/ST/PwD: Rs. 1000/-

The application fee can be paid using debit card, credit card and internet banking.

Exam Centers: NIFT exam will be conducted at 32 exam centers across the country.

NIFT 2022 Exam Pattern

NIFT exam is conducted just to check out the knowledge, aptitude and skill of candidates towards the programme opted by them. The exam is conducted at broad level at 32 exam centers across the country. Check full details of exam pattern below-

Date and mode of exam– The exam is likely to be available from 3^rd week of May 222 in offline mode.

Exam duration– Candidates will be provided 2 & 3 hours to complete the paper according to the courses.

Questions’ type– The exam comprises of multiple choice questions.

Language mode of the exam- English & Hindi

Sections of the exam– English Comprehension, Quantitative Ability, Analytical, Current Affairs & G.K and Communication Ability

Marking scheme: There will be no negative marking in the exam.

NIFT 2022 Admit Card

NIFT is not going to send admit card of candidates through post, so candidates must need to download it from the official website. Candidates can download their admit card from 21st March 2022.

Candidates have to bring admit card along with the registered ID proof to the exam centre. In the absence of these documents, no candidates would be allowed to take the exam.

Please keep your admit card at a safe place as you’ll require it at the time of counselling.

NIFT Result

Tentatively, the result of NIFT exam 2022 will be declared in the last week of May/June, 2022. After declaration of result, candidates will be invited for further round of selection.

Candidates will be able to check their result by entering the roll number, application number and date of birth.
