The National Institute of Design (NID) is responsible for organizing NID Entrance Exam. It is a national-level entrance exam held each year. The entrance exam is conducted to shortlist the candidates for admission to UG and PG i.e., Bachelor of Design (B.Des) and Master of Design (M.Des). NID Eligibility Criteria
For B.Des Courses
Applicants should have done the 12th class or its equivalent examination in Commerce/ Science/ Arts/ Humanities or any other discipline from a recognized board.

Candidates who have completed 4 years diploma course in Design/ Fine Arts/ Applied Arts/ Architecture, after the 12th or equivalent examination from a university or institute recognized by law in India are eligible to apply.
Candidates who have completed a 3 years or 4 years duration Graduation degree in any stream can also apply.

NID Application Form 2024
Applicants who satisfy the required eligibility criteria for their course may fill out the NID 2024 application form and submit it on or before the due date.
The application form for UG & PG courses will be available in October 2023 through online mode. Candidates have to first register themselves by entering details like email id, mobile number, etc.
After that, the candidate should log in to the application page by using their login credentials received at the time of registration.

Upload the important documents in the specific format.
Candidates have to pay the application fee in online mode to complete the application process.

NID DAT 2024 Exam Pattern
The NID entrance exam will be conducted in two stages i.e., DAT Prelims and DAT Mains. Candidates who clear the prelims exam will be allowed to appear in DAT Mains. The NID Mains exam comprises a Studio Test for the B.Des program. However, for M.Des DAT Mains candidates have to go through a Studio Test and Interview. NID 2024 syllabus
There will be no predefined syllabus for the exam. The National Institute of Design (NID) doesn’t release any official syllabus for the NID entrance exam. As per the previous year’s trends, we’ve mentioned some important topics covered in the NID DAT exam in the section below.

NID 2024 Admit Card
The authority will release the NID Admit card a few days before the exam date. It will be available in online mode at the official website. Candidates who registered for the exam will be able to download their NID DAT hall ticket from the online link by entering their registration number, and date of birth.
The admit card will comprise some important details related to the exam such as the candidate’s name and roll number, examination venue, and date and time of the exam. It will be necessary for the candidates to bring admit card along with a photo ID proof while appearing for the exam.
NID Entrance Exam Result 2024
It is expected that the NID DAT result for prelims will be announced in February 2024 and in March 2024 for M.Des and B.Des courses respectively. The authority will declare the result through online mode only. Candidates will be able to check/download their results by using the login details i.e., application number & date of birth.
The Mains result will be announced tentatively in May 2024. The mains result will be announced for only those candidates who qualify for the prelims exam. The final result will be based on the candidate’s overall performance in Prelims & main exam. The shortlisted candidates will be called for further interviews & admission rounds based on their NID Merit rank.
NID Admission 2024
Based on the NID 2024 Cutoff candidates will be shortlisted for further admission rounds. The selected candidates will have to appear for the Group Discussion (GD)& Personal Interview (PI) round. The allotment of seats will be made on the basis of the merit list and performance of the candidates in GD & PI Rounds.
Applicants must report at the allotted institute along with the required documents such as 10th & 12th mark sheets, Graduation mark sheets/ Birth certificates/ provisional degree certificates/Valid photo identity proof/ Migration certificates/category certificate/date of birth certificate/ school leaving certificate etc. for verification.
