National Exit Test (NExT) is a licentiate entrance test compulsory for undergraduate medical students to practice in India. The NExT exam will be organized most likely by AIIMS, New Delhi for offering admission to PG medical courses. The NExT MBBS exam will be held twice a year i.e., May session and November session.

NExT Eligibility Criteria 2024

Candidates must satisfy the necessary eligibility criteria before applying for NExT exam. The NExT exam will be valid for only undergraduate medical students. Candidates can check the important eligibility conditions for NExT exam below.

Applicants must possess a valid MBBS degree with no less than 50% marks from medical colleges approved by NMC.

Candidates who will qualify NExT Paper 1, have to complete a 12-month internship.

Candidates who satisfy the above conditions will be eligible for NExT Paper 2.

NExT Exam 2024 Application Form

The conducting body will release the NExT application form 2024 online mode. Candidates will have to first complete the online registration process by visiting the official website link.

The application process included different stages such as online registration, filling application form, uploading scanned images, and paying the registration fee.

After completing the online registration process, candidates will have to fill in the asked details in the application form such as personal and academic.

Upload scanned images of important documents such as passport-size photograph, signature, etc.

Candidates must pay the required application fee to complete the application process.

NExT Exam Pattern 2024

Candidates must check the examination pattern before starting the exam preparation. The authority will release exam pattern details along with the information brochure. The exam will include two papers i.e., theory and practical.

NExT Exam Syllabus 2024

Candidates must be familiar with NExT Syllabus before preparing for the exam. The exam will consist of six subjects including clinical, pre, and para clinical areas. The NExT 1 Syllabus is as follows:

Medicine & allied subjects, Paediatrics, Otorhinolaryngology, Surgery & allied subjects, Ophthalmology, and Obstetrics & Gynecology.

NExT cutoff 2024

The NExT cutoff is the minimum qualifying marks that candidates need to score to qualify for NExT exam. The passing criteria for NExT 1 and NExT 2 will be different from each other.
