Step by Step Procedure to Apply
First Step: Registration
This is the first step where you’ll have to register yourself with a valid email ID. For the same, first of all, you’ll have to go through the official admission portal of NEST and click the ‘Apply Online’ link. Here you’ll have to provide your name, email ID and password of your choice. After doing so, you’ll get a verification link to your mail ID where you’ll be asked to confirm your registration.
Now login to your account with created email ID and password and access the application form.
Second Step: Fill Your Basic Information
Here you need to provide your personal and educational details. If your board follows CGPA method then you need to convert your acquired CGPA into Percentage and furnish the same. Fill all other necessary details and click the Proceed button.
Third Step: Upload Photograph and signature
The third step includes uploading your photograph and signature. Scan your photograph and signature in JPEG format. The maximum size of the scanned images should be 100 KB each.
Fourth Step: Make Payment of Fee
Make the online payment of requisite application fee by using credit card/debit card/net banking. In case if the failed transaction, your payment will be refunded within 7 days.
Fifth Step: Get Preview of your Application and Submit
Verify all details furnished by you in the application form and if everything is found correct then you may proceed to submission of the form.
Sixth Step: Get printout of Application Summary Page
After submission of the form, a summary page will be generated. Candidates should take the printout of the same for future reference.

- For Male candidates belonging to General or OBC category: Rs. 1200/-
- For Male candidates belonging to SC/ST category: Rs. 600/-
- For female candidates: 600/-
- For a person with Physics disability: Rs. 600/-
