MUCLET 2019: Mumbai University Common Law Entrance Test

The Mumbai University Common Law Entrance Test (MUCLET) 2019 is a university level entrance test conducts for offering admission to integrated BA LLB (5 yrs) and LLB (3 years) courses. The admissions will be provided in different colleges and the total duration of the course will be five years. On the basis of the marks obtained in MUCLET 2019, the candidates will be granted seats in different law colleges affiliated to this university. Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must satisfy the necessary eligibility criteria before applying for the exam. Some of its eligibility norms are listed below:

  • Indian citizens are eligible to apply
  • The candidates must have passed HSC or equivalent exam from a recognized board with a minimum aggregate of 45% (40% for candidates belonging to SC/ST category).
  • The upper age limit of the candidate should not exceed 20 years.
  • A relaxation of 2 years in upper age limit is provided to the candidates belonging to SC/ST category.

MU CLET 2019 Application Form: How to apply? 

The application form will be made available on the official website of Mumbai University, The first step in filling the application form will be online registration. The candidate will have to register by providing details such as name, email id and contact number. Once the registration is done successfully, the candidate can proceed towards filling the form. The applicant can log in using the registration number and password sent to mail and mobile. An application fee of Rs 500/- (Rs 250/- for the reserved candidates) will be charged to complete the process. The fee can be paid through demand draft.

Exam Pattern

The mode of the examination will be offline. Approximately 100 questions will be asked, all of which will be MCQs. The questions will be asked in English language only. For each correct answer, 1 mark will be rewarded. The entrance test will include the question from different sections such as General Knowledge with Current Affairs, Legal Aptitude and Legal Reasoning, English, Logical and Analytical Reasoning, and Mathematical Aptitude. The duration of the exam will be 2 hours and there will be no negative marking.

Admit Card

A few days prior to the entrance test, admit card will be released at the university’s official website. The venue details will be mentioned in the admit card and the candidate must keep the admit card safely with them. Entering the examination hall will not be allowed in the absence of the admit card.

MUCLET 2019 Result

The result of MU CLET 2019 will be announced on the official website. By providing the application number, the candidates can check their results. A merit list will be prepared according to the marks scored by the candidates.

Counselling Process

Candidates who qualify the entrance test with or above the prescribed cutoff marks are considered eligible for appearing in counselling procedure.  Based on the result, a merit list will be prepared for counselling. The process of counseling will be conducted via offline mode by the Mumbai University. Candidates will also have to attend the counselling in person. They have to take the original documents and photocopies for verification. The seats will be allotted only after the verification of documents.
