About the university
The University spreads over an extensive area of 160 acres with beautiful scenery and amazing man-made architecture. The University gives due heed to both teaching and research activities and has a curriculum that supports both curriculum and learning abilities of students by large. The location of the university greatly contributes to learning of students as it is located at undulating high level that encompass many herbs, shrubs, trees, rocks and minerals that greatly contribute to research and learning.
The University has its three campus DSB campus, SS Jena Campus and Bhimtal Campus. The University has earned full recognition to the University.
Infrastructure
The University spreads over a massive area that offer both hostel and residential facilities to students along with other important facilities as in laboratories, classes, scenic views, research labs, highly motivating learning settings and sports and recreations.
The University also has a Himalayan Museum that was 1987 and exhibits certain old documents related to History of Uttarakhand as in literature, culture, religion, agriculture implements, household articles, coins, personality, musical instruments, regional journalism and independence movements.

Admission Details
Kumaun University conducts an entrance test for candidates of different courses at different levels. In order to stand eligible for Under Graduate programs candidates must have attained 50% in 10+2 and for Master’s Program candidates must have graduated from recognized University and must have completed 45% marks in Graduation.
