Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must satisfy prescribed eligibility criteria before appearing in the Ph.D. entrance exam. The eligibility conditions for KGMU Ph.D. admission 2023 are as follows:
- Candidates having graduation & PG degree with minimum 60% marks from a recognized institute are eligible to apply.
- Medical/Dental applicants should have MS/ MD/MDS programme with the minimum aggregate of 60% marks in MBBS/BDS.
- In-service Senior Residents and In-service Faculty members are can also apply.
- Applicants who have cleared for UGC/ CSIR JRF fellowships through UGC/CSIR NET examinations are excused from the entrance test.
KGMU PhD 2023 Application Form: How to apply?
Application form for KGMU Ph.D. admission will be obtainable from Research Cell or can also be downloaded from official website link i.e. www.kgmu.org. Candidates need to fill the application form carefully and accurately.
Submit the duly filled in application form along with required processing fee of Rs. 1500/- (Demand Draft drawn in favor of “KGMU-PhD Program A/c” payable at Lucknow) in person or via post at the address listed below:

Admission Process
Selection will be made through marks obtained in the entrance exam and personal interview.
Entrance Exam
The test will be a written aptitude test comprising questions from subjects like logical thinking, general awareness, human biology, research aptitude and basic computer knowledge.
Qualifying marks for general category will be 55% and 50% for SC/ST/OBC category. Candidates, who qualified entrance exam will be invited for University Interview round
