About Kerala Higher Secondary Examination Board

The board is established in the year 1990 as the Directorate of Higher Secondary Education. It is envisaged as the Central Agency of the state that is responsible for promoting all round development in Higher Secondary Education by establishing rightful philosophies, effective administrative systems, adequate institutional network, qualified and motivated staff. The board offer higher secondary examination and offers due courses in humanities and commerce. Different post graduate courses have been segregated from the University education to bring them under the purview of the directorate.
