Eligibility Criteria
- Candidates applying for Karnataka MBBS /BDS admission 2021 must have appeared and qualified in National Eligibility cum Entrance Test.
- Candidates should be an Indian citizen (overseas citizen of India can also apply).
- It is necessary for the applicants to be a domicile of Karnataka.
- The applicant should have completed the age of 17 years.
- Aspirants should have done higher secondary or equivalent examination with Biology, Physics & Chemistry.
- They have to pass the qualifying examination securing at least 50% marks (45% marks in GEN-PH, 40% marks for SC/ST/OBC category)
- Applicants appearing in the qualifying examination are also eligible to apply.
Karnataka MBBS/BDS Admission 2021 Application Form: How to apply?
The authority will release the application form of Karnataka MBBS/BDS admission 2021 most probably from June 2021. For admission to MBBS & BDS courses at Karnataka, candidates have to first register online through visiting the official website of authority. After successful registration, a unique application ID and password will be sent to candidates. Using the same, candidate can access and fill the application form. They have to enter their personal details, academic details, NEET details and other necessary information as asked in the application form. Candidates also have to upload their photograph and signature as per the prescribed specifications.
For successful submission of application form, candidates have to pay Rs. 650 (Rs 500 for candidates from SC/ST category-I) as necessary application fee. Selection Process
Selection of candidates for admission into medical/dental courses will be strictly based on NEET exam. After qualifying the NEET exam, aspirants will have to apply for the counselling process. For 85% state quota seats, the colleges conduct its own counselling process. Counselling for remaining 15% all India quota seats will be managed by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) & Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
Counselling
It is expected that the counselling of Karnataka MBBS/BDS will be commenced from July 2021. The process of counselling will be held in online mode by admission committee of Karnataka Examination Authority. All the selected candidates have to register online for Karnataka MBBS /BDS counselling. It is must for each candidate to appear in the counselling process and confirm their seats in MBBS/BDS courses.
