Karnataka BTech entrance exam 2021
Candidates seeking admission in engineering program offered by the colleges in the state of Karnataka must appear for any of the given entrance exams-
- Joint entrance exam main (JEE Main): JEE Main is a national level engineering entrance exam whose scores are considered by majority of the colleges across the nation for admission in BTech program. Admission in NIT Surathkal, Mangaluru will be given on the basis of the scores secured in JEE Main exam.
- Joint entrance exam advanced (JEE Advanced): Admission into IIT Dharwad will be given based on the scores obtained in JEE Advanced exam. Only those candidates can appear for JEE Advanced who have cleared the JEE Main exam.
- Karnataka common entrance test (KCET): KCET is a state level entrance test through which students can apply for admission in various engineering colleges of Karnataka. Candidates will be given admission as per the marks obtained by them in the KCET exam. How to apply for Karnataka BTech admission 2021?
For all of the said entrance exams, candidates can apply online by visiting the official website of the concerned exam. The application process for JEE Main (January session) has been over but the students may apply for the April session from Feb 2021. The application form for KCET will most probably be released in the month of February 2021. For COMEDK UGET, the form will be made available in the month of January 2021. Candidates should fill the form very carefully and submit the same on or before the deadline specified by the authorities. After successful registration, students can proceed towards the form filling. Selection through JEE Main
Admission into first year btech program in premier colleges will be done according to the marks secured by the students in the JEE Main exam. Students will be eligible for admission in IIT only if they qualify the JEE Advanced. Once the students clear the entrance exam, they will be invited to attend the counselling process where the authorities will allot them a seat in a college as per the branch they’ve indicated during the counselling.
