Eligibility Criteria for JNU MCA 2022

Before proceeding for the application form, candidates should ensure that they fit the eligibility criteria laid down by the authority for appearing in the exam. Failing the conditions, candidates won’t be allowed to take the test. Here are the eligibility criteria for JNU MCA exam-

Qualifying examination: Candidates should hold a valid bachelor’s degree in any discipline (as per the 10+2+3 pattern) from a recognized university with mathematics as a compulsory subject either at +2 levels or at graduation level.

Percentage required: Candidates should have obtained at least 55% marks in the qualifying examination.

Appearing candidates: Those appearing in the final year of their graduation can also apply provided that they have completed the graduation at the time of counselling.

JNU MCA 2022 Application Form

To apply for the JNU MCA exam, candidates need to visit the official website of the JNU. The application form for JNU MCA 2022 will only be made available via online mode. Candidates will be required to register themselves for the exam before proceeding for the application form. They need to enter their basic details in the registration form such as mobile number, email ID, name, address, DOB etc.

Once done with the registration, they can fill the application form. Applicants should fill the form very carefully as no correction facility will be provided once the form is submitted successfully. The application form will include details like educational detail, personal detail, contact information etc. Candidates should keep their photograph and signatures handy while filling the form. They also need to pay the required amount of the application fee for the exam without which their application will be considered invalid.

The syllabus for JNU MCA entrance exam will consist of subjects General Aptitude and Reasoning, Mathematics and Computer Science.

General Aptitude and Reasoning: Current affairs, general science, Indian history, polity, direction sense, decision making, classification and analogy, statement-assertion, puzzles, blood relations, Syllogism, Sitting arrangement, series, odd-one out, etc.

Mathematics: Algebra, set theory, differential equation, calculus, coordinate geometry, matrix algebra, vectors, trigonometry, probability, statistics, linear programming etc.

Computer Science: Computer basics, organization, network topology, architecture, data representation, programming languages, algorithms, operating system, binary arithmetic’s, etc.

1. Make a timetable that is practical. Don’t bombard it with unnecessary and unrealistic goals that cannot be achieved in a day, week or month. Try to follow it regularly.
2. Do yoga and meditation to ease the stress and don’t panic while studying. Worrying about whether you’d finish the syllabus on time or not won’t help you in the exam.
3. Study whole-heatedly. Ideally, you should spend minimum 5-6 hours for exam preparation on a daily basis.
4. Devote time equally for all the subjects. Focus on the weak area and try to improve them.
5. Solve sample papers and practice it daily. You’ll see the improvement in performance after a while.

JNU MCA 2022 Admit Card

The admit card can be downloaded from the official website of the JNU. Candidates need to provide their registration details to get the admit card. The admit card should be printed out and kept safe till the admission process is completed. Candidates must carry the admit card to the exam venue otherwise they won’t be allowed to appear in the exam. The admit card shouldn’t be damaged or mutilated under any circumstances.

Result and Counselling

To check the result of the JNU MCA 2022, applicants should visit the official web portal of the JNU. The authority will publish a merit list based on the marks secured by the candidates in the exam. Those whose name appears in the merit list will be invited for the counselling. Candidates selected will be required to register for the counselling by filling the pre-allotment form. After that, they’ll undergo document verification.
