JKCET 2023: Application Form, Eligibility Criteria, Exam Date

Admissions into BE/ B.Tech courses offered by various government and private colleges of J&K state will be given on the basis of JKCET 2023. This entrance exam will be conducted at a state level and all the interested candidates can apply for it in online mode. Candidates in their own interest are advised to ensure their eligibility before applying for the test. The application form might release in March 2023 and the exam is expected to be held in May 2023. The exam will be held as a pen-and-paper based test.

JKCET 2023 Application Form

The JKCET 2023 application form can be filled and submitted online through the BOPEE websites www.jakbopee.org or www.jkbopee.gov.in. Candidates must carefully read the instructions in the information brochure before filling their application form.

  • Details such as name, father’s name, gender, category, date of birth, email address, educational qualification, etc will be asked in the application form.
  • Photograph, signature and thumb impression of the candidates need to be uploaded in the application form.
  • Scanned copies of permanent residence, marks certificate of the qualifying examination, certificate for date of birth and category certificate will also be uploaded in the form.
  • After providing all the information into the application form, the candidates can submit it along with the application fee.
  • Once submitted successfully, the candidates should take the printout of the application form and keep it safe for future correspondence.

Application fee:

  • The application fee for JKCET 2023 will be Rs. 800/-.
  • Candidates can pay their application fee online using debit card/ credit card.

JKCET 2023 Eligibility Criteria

The candidates preparing for JKCET 2023 should meet the following eligibility criteria:

  • Domicile: The candidate must be a permanent resident of J&K State.
  • Age criteria: Applicants should be at least 17 years old as on 31st December 2023.
  • Academic criteria: Those who have passed their class 12th or equivalent exam with English, Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as elective subjects and a minimum aggregate of 50% marks (40% marks for the candidates belonging to SC/ ST/ OBC category) are eligible. The candidates appearing in the class 12th exam can also apply for the entrance test.

JKCET 2023 Admit Card

  • The admit card will be available for download on the BOPEE official website www.jakbopee.org or www.jkbopee.gov.in.
  • An intimation regarding the release of admit card may be sent to the candidates on the registered mobile number/ email address.
  • A color printout of the admit card should be taken and carried to the exam center on day of exam.
  • Candidates who do not have the internet facility can download their admit card by visiting help center at a nominal fee of Rs. 100/-.
  • Admit card is an important document and should not be mutilated in any manner as it can make it invalid.

  • Candidates will be able to check their result using their name, roll number, etc.
  • Qualified candidates will then be invited to take part in the counseling process.
  • At the time of counseling, the candidates will be allowed to exercise their choice for course and institute.
  • While reporting for counseling, the candidates must carry all their original documents and a payment receipt of Rs. 1200/-.
