JIPMER M.Sc. /P.B.D. /M.P.H. /Ph.D. Admissions 2021: Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER), Puducherry will be inviting applications from Indian Nationals for admission to the PhD/M.Sc Nursing / M.Sc Allied Medical Sciences/ Master of Public Health & Post Basic Diploma in Nursing Programs for the academic year 2021-2022. The admissions will be offered through JIPMER Puducherry Entrance Exam 2021. • Ph.D. Program – 18 seats
• Post Basic Diploma in Nursing – 50 seats
• Sc Allied Medical Sciences- 23 seats
• Sc Nursing Courses- 25 seats
• Master of Public Health- 25 plus 5* seats

Eligibility Criteria for JIPMER M.Sc. /P.B.D. /M.P.H. /Ph.D. Admissions 2021

For Phd Program:

Candidates having M.Sc/ PG degree/ M.Phil Degree in any branch of Life Sciences of a recognized University or DM/M.Ch/MD/DNB or MBBS Degree of recognized University; or equivalent Degree with no less than 55% or equivalent grade are eligible to apply.

Candidates who qualified in any of the National Eligibility Tests (NET) for PhD such as JRF under DST/ DBT/ICMR/ UGC JRF have to submit online application. However they are exempted from the entrance test.

Eligibility for Post Basic Diploma in Nursing

• Candidates should be a registered nurse (R.M & R.N) or equivalent. They hold Diploma in General nursing and Midwifery with one-year experience as Staff Nurse or B.Sc Nursing or equivalent
• The specified experience will be considered only after taking the license from the state nursing council
• The age of candidate should not be exceeded than 40 years as on last date of closing of Online Registration. There will age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/Service candidates are as per Govt. rules

Eligibility for M.Sc Allied Medical Sciences

Aspirants must have passed in three years B.Sc Degree Examination in related streams from a recognized University.

Eligibility for M.Sc Nursing Courses

• Applicants must have qualified B.Sc Nursing degree of this Institute or any other University acknowledged as equivalent thereof;
• B.Sc nursing degree holder should have one-year of experience in a hospital or in Community Health Program or in a College or in a School of Nursing after registration in State Nursing Council
• Minimum of 1- year of work experience prior or after Post-basic B.Sc Nursing
• Applicants will be medically fit
• Applicants who have done Post Basic B.Sc Nursing (P.B.Sc Nursing) qualification from Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) are not allowed to apply for M.Sc nursing courses admission at JIPMER

Eligibility for Master of Public Health

• Candidates having the qualification of MBBS Degree/ BE/B.Tech (Any Branch)/ BDS (Dental)/B.Sc (Nursing)/ AYUSH / B.V.Sc (Veterinary Science) /Allied Health or Social Sciences of any recognized University /Statutory Body, with no less than 50% marks in aggregate are eligible to apply.
• Candidates should have 2-years of completed work experience
• Nursing/ Medical Graduates must have registered with their respective state Registration Council

Application Form: How to Apply

Candidates seeking admission to JIPMER M.Sc. /P.B.D. /M.P.H. /Ph.D  programme for academic year 2018, needs to apply for the entrance test online through JIPMER Website www.jipmer.edu.in

Submission of Application form will be done through online mode only. They need to Log on to link available at Homepage of university website i.e. www.jipmer.edu.in and navigate to the link “Entrance Examination for M.Sc/P.B.D/M.P.H/Ph.D Admissions – August 2018 Session”. Candidates should read the prospectus and instructions very carefully

Mode of Fee Payments

Payment for application fee can be done through Net Banking/ Debit Card/ Credit Card and Demand Draft. DD should be drawn in the favour of “The Accounts Officer, JIPMER,” Payable at Pondicherry

Application Fee

For Post Basic Diploma in Nursing /M.Sc Allied Medical Sciences/ M.Sc Nursing Courses/ Master of Public Health candidates have to pay Rs 700/ (Rs 500/ candidates belonging to SC/ ST category)

Admit card

Admit card for the JIPMER entrance exam will be available for download to eligible applicants, who have done successful registration before the due date.

The admit card will comprise important details such as roll number, photo, name, signature date and time for the exam and venue of the exam. Admit card can be downloaded from the website i.e. www.jipmer.edu.in as per the prescribed schedule. Without a valid hall ticket candidates will not be allowed to appear for the Entrance Exam.
