IPMAT Exam Pattern 2021- Important Highlights

Below furnished information will help the aspirants to understand the actual pattern of IPMAT 2021. We have highlighted the question paper pattern in bulleted point so that it would be easily understandable to the aspirants.

  • All questions of the paper will be objective type only.
  • Mode of the test will be paper and pencil based i.e. the exam will be organized in offline mode.
  • The total number of questions asked is 100 and two hours of times will be given to candidates for solving those questions.
  • Total marks specified for question paper will be 400.
  • The question paper will be subdivided into two major sections namely Verbal Ability and Quantitative Ability section.
  • Marking Scheme: 4 marks will be added for every right answer whereas 1 mark gets deducted for every wrong answer. Time is given to candidates to solve the Verbal Ability and Quantitative Ability section will be 45 minutes and 75 minutes respectively.
  • For every wrong attempt, the deduction of 1 mark will be done.

Important Instructions

  • More weightage will be given to Quantitative ability section than Verbal ability section. The ratio will be 60:40 i.e. 60% weightage will be given to Quantitative ability section and 40% to Verbal Ability section.
  • Candidates who have successfully filled their application form and obtained the admit card are eligible to apply for the test.
  • Post completion of the test, the result gets declared and all shortlisted candidates will be called to attend the counselling cum selection procedure.
