HPCET Eligibility Criteria 2021

A set of certain criteria are laid by the exam conducting authorities and only those candidates who meet these criteria are considered eligible. In order to be eligible for admissions into Himachal Pradesh colleges, it is important for the candidates to meet the HPCET Eligibility Criteria 2021. For undergraduate courses, the candidates must clear their class 12th exam and for postgraduate courses, the candidates must clear their graduation in the relevant stream. The candidates are suggested to ensure their HPCET Eligibility Criteria 2021 even before applying for the exam.

HPCET Eligibility Criteria 2021

The eligibility criteria for HPCET vary from one course to another. The course-wide detailed HPCET Eligibility Criteria 2021 is provided below.

  • B.Tech (Direct Entry): The candidates who have passed their class 12th or equivalent examination from a recognized board/ university with Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Technical Vocational subjects securing at least 45% marks (40% marks for reserved category candidates) in the above subjects taken together will be considered eligible.
  • B.Pharmacy (Direct Entry): A pass in 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognized board/ university with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Technical Vocational subject securing at least 45% marks (40% marks for reserved category candidates) in the above subjects taken together is necessary. The aspiring candidates must complete the age of 17 years on or before 31st December of the year of admission (2021).
  • B.Pharmacy (Ayurveda): Those who have passed their 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognized board/ university with Physics, Chemistry and Biology securing at least 45% marks (40% marks for reserved category candidates) in the above subjects taken together can apply.
  • M.Tech: The candidates should hold a BE/ B.Tech degree in a relevant branch or equivalent from any recognized institute/ university securing at least 50% marks (45% marks for reserved category candidates).
  • M.Pharma: Those applicants who have completed their bachelor degree in pharmacy or equivalent from a recognized university securing at least 50% marks (45% marks for reserved category candidates) can apply.
  • MBA: The candidates should hold a bachelor’s degree of minimum 3-year duration from recognized university securing at least 50% marks (45% marks for reserved category candidates).
  • MCA: The candidates should hold a bachelor’s degree of minimum 3-year duration from recognized university securing at least 50% marks (45% marks for reserved category candidates). Mathematics at 10+2 or at degree level is also mandatory.

Note: The candidates who will be appearing in their qualifying exam in the year 2021 will also be eligible to appear but the final selection will be subject to satisfying the above eligibility criteria.

After checking the HPCET Eligibility Criteria 2021, the candidates can proceed towards filing their application form. The application from will be made available in online mode on the website himtu.ac.in. It is expected that the application form will be released in the month of March 2021. In the application form, the candidates will have to provide their personal and educational details and upload their photograph and signature. The duly filled application can be submitted along with the required application fee.
