Courses offered under HNB Garhwal University Admission 2021

The courses in the HNB Garhwal University are divided into two categories i.e. category E and Category C. For Category E courses, the university will conduct its own entrance exam, while for category C courses, the admission will be granted via counselling based on CAT/ MAT/ JEE (Main)/ CMAT  score. The courses under both these categories are as follows:

Category C: MBA/ MBA (Tourism and Travel Management)/ B.Tech (1^st Sem)

The eligibility Criteria for HNB Garhwal University Admission 2021 depends upon the course for which the candidate is looking to apply.

For M.Sc (Physics/ Chemistry/ Geology)

• The candidate must have a B.Sc degree in relevant subjects with at least 45% marks

For M.Pharma

• The candidate should have a B.Pharma degree with a minimum of 50% marks (45% for candidates from SC/ST categories)

For MCA

• The applicant must have a Bachelor’s degree with 50% marks (45% for candidates for SC/ST category)
• The candidate should have studied Mathematics at graduation or 10+2 level.

For M.Tech

• The candidate must have a B.Tech degree in relevant discipline.

For MA (Hindi/ Journalism and Mass Communication/ Sanskrit/ Philosophy/ History/ Economics/ Archaeology/ Sociology)

• The applicant must possess a Bachelor’s degree with 40% marks.

 For LLM

• The candidate should have a 3 year or 5 year LLB degree with at least 50% marks

For LLB

• The candidates should be a graduate or post graduate with 45% marks (42% for OBC and 40% for SC/ST candidates).
• The age of an applicant should be less than 30 Years (35 Years for candidates from SC/ST categories).

HNB Garhwal University Application Form 2021

The application form for HNB Garhwal University admission 2021 will be available in online mode through the official website i.e. www.hnbqu.ac.in. The candidates have to provide all the necessary educational, personal and contact details in the online application form. In addition to the details, the candidates have to upload the scanned image of passport size photograph.

Application Fee

For MBA and B.Tech: Rs. 300/- (Rs. 150/- for candidates from SC/ ST/ PH categories)

For PG, PG Diploma and Professional Courses: Rs. 250/- (Rs. 125/- for the candidates from SC/ ST/ PH categories)

Mode of Payment

• The candidates need to pay the application fee via bank challan.
• Please note that the application fee should be submitted after 48 hours of submitting the application form.

The pattern of the exam to be conducted by the university will be as follows:

Number of Questions: 100

Type of Questions: Objective Type MCQs

Duration of Exam: 2 Hours

Marking pattern: Each question will carry 1 Mark

Negative Marking: Not applicable.

Language of Exam: English and Hindi (Only English for Subjects under Life Science, schools of science, schools of Management, School of Engineering and Technology, Agriculture and allied science and school of Earth science)

Points to remember

• For admission to diploma courses, the questions in the exam will be based on current affair, general knowledge, aptitude and elementary knowledge related to the subject.
• For admission to courses like B.P.Ed/ M.P.Ed, the candidates need to appear for the physical efficiency and sport proficiency test in addition to the entrance exam. The physical test will be held at Srinagar (Garhwal).

Admit Card

The admit card for the entrance exam can be downloaded from the official website. It is expected the admit card will be available in 3^rd week of May 2021. All the information regarding the exam center, exam dates will be mentioned on the admit card. It is compulsory for every candidate to carry the admit card at the exam center. Result

The candidates can check the result of the entrance exam from the official website of the university. Along with the result, the university will release the list of candidates shortlisted for the admission to particular courses. In order to check the result, the candidates need to enter their roll number. The successful candidates will be invited to participate in the counselling process.

Counselling

The schedule of counselling will be updated on the official website and this page after the declaration of result. The counselling will be held at the concerned department of the university.
