Gandhigram Rural Institute PhD Admission Eligibility Criteria

If you want to get admission to PhD course at Gandhigram Rural Institute then verify your eligibility first by going through the information furnished below:

• Master degree from Gandhigram Rural Institute or any other recognized university along with 55% marks is must for both Indian as well as NRI candidates. Candidates belong to SC/ST category need to secure at least 50% marks.
• NET, UGC JRF, SLET, GATE or any other fellowships qualified candidates will be exempted from the entrance exam which is conducted for PhD programmes.

Application Procedure

• Entrance exam for PhD admission is conducted twice in a year. First exam is conducted in August last and second one is conducted in January last.
• GATE, SLET, UGC-JRF, CSIR, NET candidates can apply at any point of time.
• Application form for the admission can be founded from deputy registrar by paying the requisite application fee. The fee can be paid in online mode. Candidates belonging to SC/ST category are exempted from the application fee.
• Candidates are eligible to download the application form from the official website. The form can be submitted online as well.
• During application, procedure candidates will be also asked to upload signature and passport size photograph.
• Candidates are now required to send the application form along with demand draft to the address furnished below:
