GADVASU Admission 2021: UG and PG Admission

The Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (GADVASU), Ludhiana offers admission in different undergraduate and postgraduate degree programmes. The enrolment in undergraduate courses is granted on the basis of marks scored in the common entrance test. The interested applicants who fulfill the eligibility criteria for the desired degree programmes can fill up the application form for the particular course. GADVASU 2021 Application Form

GADVASU 2021 application form for the undergraduate and postgraduate courses will be released only in the online mode. The candidate can obtain the form from the official website of the university gadvasuadmissions.com. The applicants will have to register themselves first using their email id and password. Using this email id and password, the candidates can log in to their portal. The candidates will have to select the program that they wish to apply for. The details of personal and academic life will be provided in the form and scanned copies of photograph, signature & left thumb impression will also be uploaded. Once the form is completely filled, the candidate will have to proceed towards application fee payment. The fee can be paid via net banking/debit card/credit card. After submitting the fee and the form, the candidates are advised to take a printout of the filled in application form.

Eligibility Criteria for GADVASU 2021

For Undergraduate programmes:

B.V.Sc. & A.H. (5.5-year)/B.F.Sc. (4-year):

10+2 or equivalent with PCB and English from a recognized board/university with at least 50% marks in aggregate (excluding optional subject)

B.Tech. (Dairy Technology) (4-year):

A pass in 10+2 or equivalent exam with PCM and English from a recognized board/university with at least 50% marks in aggregate (excluding optional subject)

B.Tech. (Biotechnology) (4-year):

10+2 or equivalent exam with PCM/PCB and English from a recognized board/university with at least 50% marks in aggregate (excluding optional subject)

Note: A candidate who had done 10+2 with PCMB can apply for all the above courses.

Diploma in Veterinary Science and Animal Health Technology

The candidate should pass 10+2 exam with at least 50% marks in aggregate with PCB and English subjects from a board recognized by the Council of Boards of School Education (COBSE). Only those candidates who are a resident of Punjab State/Union Territory of Chandigarh can apply. A self-declaration and Residence Certificate needs to be submitted during counselling.

Diploma in Inland Fisheries

In-service candidates of Punjab State Fisheries Department nominated by Director-cum-Warden Fisheries, Punjab are eligible.

Note: For all the above programmes, a relaxation 0f 10% in qualifying marks is provided to the candidates belonging to SC/ST/BC categories.

For Postgraduate programmes:

M.V.Sc.

B.V.Sc. & A.H. or equivalent degree with minimum OCPA/OGPA of 6 or 60% marks in aggregate from an institute recognized by the VCI. The candidate should be registered with the VCI/State Veterinary Council

M.V.Sc. (Animal Biotechnology)/M.Sc. (Biotechnology)

B.V.Sc. & A.H. or B.Sc in Biotechnology/Medical or B.Sc (Hons.) in Biotechnology/Biochemistry/Microbiology and Molecular Genetics or equivalent degree with minimum OCPA/OGPA of 6 or 60% marks in aggregate is required (other than in-service candidates)

M.F.Sc.

B.F.Sc. from a recognized institute with minimum OCPA of 6 or 60% marks in aggregate

M.Tech (Dairy Technology/ Dairy Microbiology)

• Tech. (Dairy Technology/Food Technology) or equivalent with minimum OCPA of 6 or 60% marks in aggregate.
• Preference will be given to the candidate with B.Tech. (Dairy Technology) degree

M.Tech (Dairy Engineering)

• Tech. (Dairy Technology)/Food Engineering/Agricultural Engineering or equivalent with minimum OCPA of 6 or 60% marks in aggregate (other than in-service candidates)
• Preference will be given to the candidate with B.Tech. (Dairy Technology) degree

M.Sc. (Dairy Economics)

The candidates with any of the following degree with minimum OCPA/OGPA of 6 or 60% marks in aggregate are eligible:

• Tech. (Dairy Technology)
• Sc. Dairying/Dairy Science/Agri./Agri. (Hons.)
• Sc. or B.A. (Hons.) in Economics with Mathematics as one of the subject
• V.Sc. & A.H.
• V.Sc.
• Sc. Animal Science

Master’s Programme for in-service candidates

The candidates should have done their Bachelor’s degree with an OCPA/OGPA of 5.5 or 55% marks in aggregate with two years professional experience in any department of Punjab Government/Union Territory of Chandigarh/Central Government/ Semi-Government/Private sector organizations on the last date of receipt of applications.

For Ph.D.:

• The candidate must hold a Master’s degree in the respective discipline.
• The minimum marks to be scored at master’s level should be OCPA 7 or 70% and at bachelor’s level, the minimum marks scored must be OCPA 5.5 or OGPA of 2 (out of 4) or 55% marks (other than in-service candidates).

For in-service candidates

• The minimum marks to be scored at master’s level should be OCPA 6.5 or 65% and at bachelor’s level, the minimum marks scored must be OCPA 5.5 or OGPA of 2 (out of 4) 55% marks.
• The candidate should be an employee of GADVASU/PAU/any State University/any national institute/Punjab Government/Union Territory of Chandigarh/Central Government/Private sector organizations having five years experience of Teaching/Research/Extension.

Note: For post graduation GADVASU 2021 admission under the in-service category, applications duly forwarded through proper channel will be considered. The application must be duly certified that during the study period their lien will be retained against regular posts. Such applicants on completion of their studies will join the said posts.

The OCPA mentioned in the criteria is calculated on a scale of 10.

GADVASU 2021 Admit Card

The candidates who successfully fill the application form will be able to download their admit card for GADVASU CET 2021. The details of the exam center will be mentioned on the admit card. The admit card must be taken to the examination centre on the day of the exam, otherwise, the candidates will not be allowed to appear for the exam.

Results and Admission

For Undergraduate programmes:

The result of GADVASU CET 2021 will be made available on the official university website gadvasu.in. On the basis of their merits, the candidates will have to attend the counseling session. Those who miss the first round of counseling can attend the subsequent round. The admissions will be granted to the candidates strictly on the basis of merit.

For Postgraduate programmes:

The admissions in GADVASU 2021 master’s degree course will be offered on the basis of rank obtained in ICAR AIEEA PG 2021 and performance in the interview round. For admissions in the Ph.D. programme, the candidate’s performance in the qualifying exam and interview will be considered.

GADVASU UG Admission 2021 for NRI & Foreign Candidates

The NRI candidates having an ancestral background in Punjab would only be considered for GADVASU 2021 admission. The NRI candidates who have passed up to 10+2 standard with 50% marks in the individual subject of PCB and English for B.V. Sc. & A.H or PCM for B. Tech. (Dairy Technology) will be considered for direct admission. Such candidates will have to submit their application form along with the copy of their certificates/transcript/mark sheets showing their academic achievements.

The foreign candidates will be granted direct admission against additional seats. The whole admission process will be regulated by ICAR.
