FMGE 2022 (December): Application Form (Released), Eligibility & Exam Date (Out)

FMGE 2022 application form has been released on 9th September for December session, while the last date for the submission of FMGE application form is 27th September 2022 till 11:55PM. The National Board of Examinations will conduct the FMGE 2022 screening test. This test is conducted for shortlisting the candidates having a primary medical qualification from outside of India and desirous of getting registration with MCI (medical council of India) or any state medical council. Please note that only Indian citizen or overseas citizen of India can appear for this exam. FMGE 2022 exam conducted twice in a year in the month of June 2022 and December 2022 respectively.

Candidates looking to appear for FMGE either in the June session or December session need to submit the application form in online mode. Please check the eligibility criteria before submitting the application form as the registration fee is non-refundable.

FMGE 2022 Quick Notes

• The FMGE 2022 is going to be an online (computer based) exam carrying 300 questions.
• Please note that the application process will also take place online. The authorities will not release any printed application form.
• The exam is supposed to be held at around 25 exam centers across India. Applicants will have to select the exam city at the time of filling the application form.
• There is no restriction on the number of attempts. So, a candidate can apply for the FMGE exam any number of times.
• To clear this exam, an aspirant needs to score at least 150 marks out of 300.

FMGE 2022 Eligibility Criteria

The applicants need to make sure that they fit in the eligibility criteria below in order to apply for FMGE 2022.

Nationality

• The candidate must be a citizen of India or an overseas citizen of India

Educational Qualification

• Applicants must possess a primary medical qualification confirmed by the concerned Indian embassy. Must be a recognized qualification for the enrollment as a medical practitioner in the country where the institute (awarding the qualification) is situated.
• Please note that the cutoff date for obtaining the Primary medical qualification is 31^st May 2022.
• The candidates who are looking for a Permanent/ Provisional registration need not qualify the screening test if they have completed undergraduate medical qualification and postgraduate medical qualification from Australia/Canada/New Zealand/ United Kingdom/United States of America. The qualification must be recognized for enrollment as a medical practitioner in the country.

Important Note: It is mandatory for the applicants to provide the documentary proof of possessing the primary Medical qualification before the cutoff date.

FMGE 2022 Application Form

• The FMGE Application Form 2022 has been released in online mode through the official website i.e. www.nbe.edu.in.
• It is being notified that the application form submission for December session has been started from 9th September 2022. Please note that the authorities will not accept offline or printed copies of an application form.
• In the application form, the candidates need to provide information such as personal details, education qualification etc.
• Please do not provide false or fabricated information in the application form, because the documents will be verified later.
• Along with the details, the aspirants are also required to upload the scanned images of their photograph and signature.
• The applicants should remember that the following fields in the application form are non-editable – Name of the candidate, Mobile number, Email address and Testing city.
• After entering the test city, the applicants need to pay the prescribed application fee.
• Once the application fee is paid, the candidates may submit the application form.
• Preserve a hard copy of the submitted application for the future requirement.

Upload Essential Documents

After the successful submission of an application form, the candidates have to upload the self-attested scanned copies of the following documents.

• Copy of the passport of the candidate (not applicable for the person obtaining the primary qualification from Nepal)
• A copy of MBBS pass certificate by the Embassy/ Apostiled (must be in English/ Hindi)
• Eligibility certificate issued by the Medical Council of India (if applicable)
• ID proof (PAN Card/ Voter ID/ Passport/ Driving License/ Aadhar Card)
• Equivalence certificate issued by the association of Indian Universities (in case the applicant passed 10+2 from abroad)

Application Fee

• Without the payment of application fee, the application form submitted is not considered valid. The fee that the aspirants need to pay is Rs. 6000 +1080/-(GST @18%).
• The candidate can pay the fee online using a credit card, debit card or internet banking.

FMGE 2022 Exam Pattern

Here is the overview of FMGE Exam 2022 pattern

• Mode of Exam: Online (Computer Based)
• Number of Questions: 300
• Parts of Exam: Exam is divided into 2 parts.
• Duration of Exam: 5 hours (2 hours and 30 minutes for each part)
• Type of Questions: Objective Type multiple choice
• Marking scheme: Each question will carry 1 mark
• Negative Marking: There is no negative marking
• Passing marks: the candidates need to score a minimum of 150 marks in order to clear the exam.

FMGE 2022 Syllabus

The basic syllabus of some important subjects for FMGE 2022 is as follows:

Anatomy: General Anatomy, Regional Anatomy, Elements of Anatomy, Human Genetics, Surface Anatomy, Sectional Anatomy, etc.

Physiology: Body fluids – Blood, Nerve and Muscle, General Physiology, Skin and Body temperature, Kidney, Gastrointestinal Tract, Reproduction, Central Nervous Systems, etc.

Biochemistry: Cell and Sub-cellular structures, Amino Acids, Peptides and Proteins, Hydrogen Ion concentration Acid, Bases, Buffers, Handerson-Haselbach equation, Digestion and Absorption from GI Tract etc.

Otorhinolaryngology: Diseases of Trachea, Oesophagus, Diseases of Nose and Para Nasal sinuses, Diseases of the Ear etc.

Ophthalmology: Basic sciences – Anatomy, Physiology, Pharmacology, Pathology, Elementary, Optics, Diseases of the Eye, Uveal Tract, Cornea, Glaucoma, Retina etc.

Dermatology And Sexually Transmitted Diseases: Diseases caused by Nutritional and Environmental Factors, Dermatological therapy, Structure and functions of Sebaceous glands and Disease, Melanocytes, pigment metabolism and other disorders of Pigmentation etc.

Psychiatry: Behavioral Sciences, Conduction of Mental Status Examination, Schizophrenia, Anxiety disorders and hysteria, Clinical features, diagnosis and management of psychiatric disorders of childhood and adolescence etc.

FMGE 2022 Admit Card

• The authorities will make the admit card available for download in online mode around 1 week prior to the date of exam.
• An aspirant needs to take the printout of an admit card and paste his/her photographs on it.
• The details of the examination venue will be available on the admit card.
• Every candidate needs to carry the printout of the admit card at the exam center along with any one of the following documents.
  • Voter ID
  • PAN Card
  • Passport
  • Driving License
  • Aadhar Card (with photograph)
• No candidate will be allowed to appear for the exam without having an admit card or photo identity proof.

FMGE 2022 Result

• The results along with the status of candidates i.e. pass or fail will be displayed online through the official website.
• Every candidate has to score at least 150 marks in order to clear this exam.
• After the declaration of result, the authorities will release the scheme regarding the delivery of the authenticated copy of the result.
